He doesn’t miss the hint, eyes narrowing ever so slightly at the mention of it.  “Truth to be told, all I know by now is that a simple boring town won’t do it for me by this point. There’s a certain thrill to the wonder, the expectation --” there’s a short pause, his eyes never leaving hers as he speaks. “As I’m sure you understand, considering your return. Europe has plenty to offer in the murder department, you could’ve given it a chance, at least.”

“That’s true. Have the cops recruited her yet as a banshee? Or no?”

“Not as far as I’m aware. It isn’t a pleasant job, in my opinion, but she’d probably do it for a dose of chicken nuggets. Heard you’re working for the PD though, how’s that working out for you?”

“Xavier. You can’t betray a whole town. And you can’t feel a sense of obligation to a town that’s almost killed you numerous amounts of times.”

“It was one time, thank you for your concern. I certainly don’t mind betraying an entire town, but I’d betray my beliefs. Besides, Denver is way too boring to even be an option, even with hell itself in here. I’d even prefer moving to Texas. Weren’t you supposed to be in the other side of the ocean or something?”

“I actually can’t believe half of us still live in this town. Denver Hills probably never had the problems this town had.”

“You’ve got a point there, but even with all the crap it would feel like a betrayal to move over to that horrid town.”

Last night, I was lying on my floor, staring at my sketchbook as if something would pop up and give me a bit of inspiration. Sadly, even the music couldn’t bring my muse back, and I’m contemplating on sacrificing myself to Trivium, because I have less than a month to get my portfolio made for art camp. Totally lame, I know, but it beats being stuck in a town with a serial killer on the loose. Now, would anyone with a pretty face, or a pretty mind, be willing to let me like… follow them around for the day? I’ll throw in a free sketch of you, or whatever your little heart may desire.
