“No, this is my last one. So I cant’ spare one.”
“I don’t smoke, cousin. I was actually asking whether or not you have a spare moment to talk to me?”
“When things are this quiet, I really worry something bad is about to happen.”
“Don’t worry, it will. I know them well enough to know they are plotting something.”
“Bloody social functions and their fucking formal attire.”
“Yes, you never liked those.”
“I simply can’t wait for Walpurga Night. It will be a wonderful distraction from the war, don’t you think?”
“Yes, indeed.”
“Oh, I’m sorry, cousin. Will it piss you off?”
“No, not really. I’m trying to prevent you from making a mistake, but by all means. DO as you please.”
"Because you’re trying to sabotage us? I won’t let that happen, Bellatrix.”
“I’m not trying to sabotage you.”
"I have the same feeling. Maybe you should try and explain him everything." She smiled softly, before chuckling. "No, he wouldn’t. Not when I explain him everything. Plus, Nymphadora would be thrilled to have her aunt spoil her to oblivion."
“Well, then it settles it. Thank you, Andy.”
"nothing. I’m concerned about Lucius. Have you seen him?"
“I can’t say I have, I’m sorry.”
"You and honesty are two entirely opposite matters."
“Really, Molly? Are we? Ask my sister if you don’t believe me. Ask Andromeda.”
"Oh, no, you do care. That’s the most amusing part," Rodolphus returned with a smirk. He stood up, adjusting his jacket with a casual air. "Adieu, Bella."
“You know what’s amusing? The fact you really believe I do care. Adieu, Rod.”
"As I’ve said before, it’s none of your fucking business," she retorted. Marlene took a long sip from her glass, noticing the fiery glance that Bellatrix was giving her. She put the glass down and met the other woman’s eyes. "Look I don’t even know why you’re giving me any information about the curse, but from what I’m hearing you don’t seem to know a whole lot. So you’re not exactly useful right now and there’s only so long that I can stand your company."
“Good question. If you worked your pretty blond head a bit harder, you might understand why I’m trying to help you.”
He led the way into an empty room, pulling her with him before shutting the door. She had said that Rod had been cheating and he knew that Alecto had a weakness for Rod. He found that it made him not care about how he screwed over, since it wasn’t like she had meant what she had said anyway, it would seem. He’d try to make her jealous, but for now, to self destruction. Moving closer, he pulled her into a kiss, desperate to think about anything else, other than the pit in his chest, that all this made him feel.
Bellatrix internally grinned. This was going on better than she’s assumed; Amycus clearly had someone he wanted to make jealous and the timing was impeccable. When Rodolphus hears about this, and he will, he will be completely furious. Bella replied his kiss, leaning into him.
"It’s part of the reason I like her so much," he said, exaggerating his expression of disdain and amusement. Anatagonizing her ought to be more fun, yet all he found was that he was growing weary of it as minutes rolled on. The idea of alcohol was appealing, though he’d done little but drown how he felt. At least with her sitting there he had a chance to prove it, to cut it out of himself once and for all. "Now unless you’ve got more baseless accusations to throw at me, Bells, I’ve got other things to do that are fair more enjoyable. Like gouge out my eyes."
Bella simply hissed at him. "Fine. Leave then. Gouge your eyes out. Obliviate yourself. Don't care."
"Now sounds wonderful. Lead the way, Carrow."
"What’s the point in following something if I don’t know what’s right and what’s wrong?"
"then find out again. Surely your views can't be that distorted. Everyone knows what's right or wrong for them."
"It is traditional, Bella. I will not have mother and father disown me simply because you deem it boring.”
"Fine, fine. I guess you have a point there."
"What's wrong, Cissy?"
