"Cissa, are you well?"
Bella looked up at her sister, both surprised and emotional. “Really? Ted wouldn’t mind? I have a feeling Rod won’t be delighted when I tell him.”
"I have the same feeling. Maybe you should try and explain him everything." She smiled softly, before chuckling. "No, he wouldn't. Not when I explain him everything. Plus, Nymphadora would be thrilled to have her aunt spoil her to oblivion."
"But I can’t wait… I can’t do that. Waiting’s just like torture, it’s slow and agonizing. I’ve got to find something, I’ve got to do something to help."
"Then try and find it. I can't say what it is, because I have no clue, but... Perhaps waiting is the best option, for now at least."
"Even if she kills you?"
"Bella could never kill me, Emmeline, don't be ridiculous."
"I left her? Are you fucking with me right now?" Rodolphus let out, swallowing past the knot in his throat. The adrenalin of the run and the fight he’d left to chase down Andromeda carried his anger past the hurt that’d been constant since she’d left him. Rodolphus looked disgusted, upset and repulsed at the same time. "She left me. Said she didn’t care. So why the hell should I?"
It might as well have been an admission of feelings, but it didn’t matter. Narcissa had spoken the same, as if she knew the pair - knew what they felt. Rodolphus was not unfeeling, but Bellatrix was. It was fine enough by him that he ought to suffer if only she could do the same. His stoic goddess never would, and he was left the only weak one for feeling. Rodolphus scrubbed a hand through his hair, grousing in low tones under his breath. Out in the forest the only thing he could hear was them breathing, and some birds. The shouts from the village had faded a long time ago. But even distance offered no privacy, as he didn’t trust the other traitorous Black as far as he could curse her. “Bellatrix made her choice and I made mine. If she deems it incompatible, then she deems it such. I don’t care.”
Andromeda shook her head, sighing heavily. She knew Bellatrix well enough to know she had feelings for Rodolphus and she knew damn well her sister would rather back down than admit having a weakness. Rodolphus was clearly deluding himself; as if Bella would ever agree to marry him if she didn't have any kind of emotion. "My sister said a lot of things. She said she would kill me, torture me, if she ever sees me again. She did none of it. We reconciled and now are closer than we've ever been. Bella is... Stubborn and she hardly reveals her true feelings to me and Narcissa. I personally think you made a mistake letting her go. You should have fought for her, but... I guess you don't care for her then, not even the slightest." She shrugged, as if it wasn't her business. She wanted to protect her sister, but she knew she had no right to interfere. "Is there any possibility the two of you can work it out, even if she remains the way she is now?" She asked, looking Rodolphus in the eye.
"I really don’t doubt you would, Andy." Bella laughed softly and leaned her head on her sister’s shoulder. It felt good; being like that with Andromeda again. She wasn’t even aware of how much she’s missed her sister.
Andromeda wrapped her arm around her sister and leaned her head on the top of Bella's. "Good, good. I'm glad we got that cleared up. You know, if you ever need a place to stay... You can always stay with us."
"I’ve no idea. That’s her problem now." Rodolphus kept himself from gasping for air despite the compacted feeling his lungs now bore; her stopping was fortunate, as at this point he would have just thrown another curse her way to stop her. Rodolphus rolled his head back, letting a kink in his neck pop, before he lifted his shoulders and pulled a face.
Did Andromeda know? More than likely she did. Bellatrix was nothing if not loyal to a fault to her family; she carried her name and pride like it was the only thing she could hold onto. Not even Rodolphus had that attachment to his blood, but he suspected it was the mad Black ideal that inspired such fervent adoration. “She chose to betray us and to betray me, to leave me. What happens now… that’s all on her.”
Andromeda's frown deepened. "So, it's true... What she told me. She broke away from the Death Eaters. She told me she didn't know how to tell you. She was afraid you would leave her. Shall I guess she was right in the matter?" She observed her bother-in-law as she spoke.
"It's not all on her, Rodolphus. I love her and I will stand by her. She always has a home with me, but.. I thought you cared more about her than this. Lucius is a Death Eater and my sister refrained from becoming one, yet he still remained with her. Perhaps you could've done the same." Andromeda said, standing to her sister's defense.
"That means a lot to me. How are you though?"
"I'm well. I can say better than ever, now that some things are... Back as they were. You, dear?"
"I know that I’m certainly not. I nearly failed herbology at one point." Marlene sighed, her expression wearier than usual. "I just don’t know what to do… I feel useless at the moment."
"I know you do. I feel the same way sometimes. The only thing left now is to wait, Marlene."
Bella nodded, familiar with her sister’s concern. Andy was always concerned for her, sometimes too concerned. Staying alive in this war is not something she could truly promise, but she could try. “I promise to try, Andy.”
Andromeda sighed, but she knew it was the best promise she could get from her sister. "Alright. But, I swear it Bella, if you die I will find a way to revive you and then I'll kill you again myself." She smiled softly to her sister. Andromeda's threats were never serious. She could never hurt Bella.
"A pinata? This is a bloody endless pit of surprises, Andromeda."
"perhaps? Wasn’t she supposed to aim for your jugular?"
"She is still my sister. I'll always love her no matter what she does."
Bella covered Andy’s hand with her other and leaned her head on the younger Black’s shoulder. “I’m sorry, Andy. For everything I did to you, for my pretense hate and my blindness.”
"It's all in the past now, Bella. Don't think about it. I am truly happy we are sisters and family again. Promise me you will be safe in this war. I can't risk losing you again to it."

Shrugging, Bella sighed and bit her lip. “I don’t know, Andy. I guess I’ll keep it a secret. He’s one of HIS’ most loyal servants, alongside with me. Well, past evil me.” She let out a small snicker, before continuing. “I wish I could trust him, but I’m afraid he won’t care for me anymore if he learns what I’ve done.”
"Then he doesn't deserve your trust, Bella. If he can't accept your change and love you for who you are, then he doesn't deserve you." Andromeda reached out and clasped her sister's hand with her own.

"Well… Yes, I’m sure. I’ll have to put up a pretense act, for my own life’s sake. They won’t be too happy when they find me gone." Bella sighed, looking at her sister and smiling softly. "It’s worth it. The danger. But, Andy, if you by any chance bump into one of them, run. For Ted and Nymphadora and me. Just, run, alright?"
Andromeda listened to her sister and nodded. "And... Rodolphus? What will you do about him? Can you trust him enough to tell him?"
