We’ve been gone for some time, but twitter’s being WEIRD, so here we are again. Here’s some shit you should know about us:
1. We’re adaptive + protogenic, and have DID, but we 100% support all non-traumagenic systems. Sysmeds/anti-endos aren’t welcome here. We’re also neutral on personal system beliefs-- we don’t care if you believe your fictives came from another universe, or if you believe in system-hopping, or anything. As long as you’re not harming others with your beliefs, you’re fine. Fakeclaiming has no place in the plural community.
2. We’re nonbinary/trans/systemfluid, and greyace/pluralqueer. We support all trans and nonbinary people! We don’t think that dysphoria is required to be trans, so transmeds aren’t welcome here. We also don’t want exclusionists or anti-mspec people here. We love and support our bi/pan lesbian (or whatever combo) community members. We also think ace/aro folks are inherently queer, and fully believe kink belongs at Pride, so jot that down.
3. We’re pro-fic/anti-harassment. Meaning, we don’t agree with harassing, doxxing, sui baiting, etc, people over the fictional shit they’re into. If you’re an anti-shipper, are against pro-shippers, are neutral, or enable people who harass/send death threats/etc, please block us and move on.
4. We’re fat. :3 We also have an eating disorder. Fatphobia and diet culture shit isn’t welcome here.
5. Minors ARE NOT welcome to follow us. If we don’t see anything indicating that you’re, bodily, an adult, we will softblock. We don’t intend to post/reblog NSFW but it’s still possible, and we just aren’t interested in censoring ourselves.
Tl;dr as long as you’re not harming real life people, as long as you’re speaking for your own experiences, as long as you use labels out of good faith, then that’s fine. (We block TERFs, SWERFs, alt right, etc, on sight.)
Hey all, I'm doing yet another TAROT CARD READING RAFFLE AND SALE until August 23rd.

Boosting here again. Please only share/help if doing so wouldn't harm you any! We need help, but we know things are hard out there for a lot of people right now.
Hopefully we'll start getting back on our feet next month, but right now we're still in a pretty grim position. (Thanks, capitalism.) Any boosting is appreciated. <3
no but the “”ai”” boom is crazy bc they made the entire internet so shitty that the only reason to use it is because it’s where all the people are and now they’re getting rid of the people. like i’m straight up logging off and going to the library there’s nothing on here anymore
‘here’s how to tell if an image is ai’ ‘signs the person you’re talking to is a bot’ ‘how to tell if a song is ai generated’ ah but consider this: i am shutting my laptop and walking outside
I saw a bsky post last year where someone said their grandma couldn't tell what was real on the internet anymore so she stopped using it and I really, genuinely think the techbros currently ruining everything have never even considered that possibility. their projections and pie charts and market share research and whatever simply do not take into account a scenario where people lose interest in being online. like yeah we're pretty much all gonna keep using the internet to book travel and look up words and order pizza, but in terms of how we spend our leisure time? I'm still extremely online, but in the last few years I've been learning candlemaking and carpentry and sewing, and I was already spending a lot of time cooking and reading books and skating at the rink and hiking, and an afternoon spent on any of those things always leaves me feeling better about myself than an afternoon spent doomscrolling. I think my daily life is going to keep reflecting that more and more as the slop encroaches, and it sounds like I'm far from the only one feeling that way. silver lining to everything, I suppose.
The internet has been a huge tool in spreading information, education, and awareness. Social media, for all its flaws, has been a massive tool in connecting people, helping people find community, helping people realize things like abuse + neurodivergence + physical and mental health issues. The internet has been vital in revealing corruption, and bullshit from government.
And I truly think techbros and their puppetmasters know this. I think they want people to leave the internet, and disconnect from wider circles of community, awareness, and information sharing. I think they want people to stop being able to trust what they see online: first it was bunnies, then it was political stuff. I don't think it was an accident at all.
They want us disconnected. The internet was too powerful of a tool.
Of course getting outside and participating in local community is important-- if you can. But a lot of disabled, ND, and queer folks can't for a lot of reasons. For many people, the internet was a source of freedom and being able to see, connect to the outside world. And it's being stolen from us.
hey you. reading this. if you're not already eating one, go eat a fresh fruit. or even canned or in a fruit cup. it'll make you feel better. doesn't matter what kind. you need one.
Indigenous lands are crucial for climate mitigation and resilience. Research shows their health is a direct result of Indigenous stewardship
While this isn't news to anyone who works in this space, it is useful to have this water-is-wet research to affirm that Indigenous knowledge and land management are extremely effective at storing carbon and protecting biodiversity.
I want to draw special attention to this part of the article:
New research shows that approach overlooks the key role that Indigenous knowledge and culture can play in mitigating climate change. It also reveals a dangerous misconception that has taken hold in global climate discussions: the idea that Indigenous lands are so rich because they are remote or sparsely populated.
Nothing could be further from the truth. The health of Indigenous lands and their ability to store vast quantities of carbon stem from the stewardship of the people who inhabit them.
I'm actually bringing this back around to say another important thing.
I get a fair number of asks and comments on my posts expressing sentiments like "human beings are a plague on this Earth", "humans ruin everything, we deserve to be wiped out", "humanity is inherently selfish, evil, and irredeemable".
I don't think the folks saying these things have bad intentions, I know their words come from a place of very understandable pain, fear, and anger. But to act as though humanity's impact on nature is inherently damaging and extractive is to erase thousands of years of Indigenous stewardship of nature. These ecosystems are thriving because there are humans living there.
This is your regular reminder that you don't need to feel guilty for being a human. You are part of nature--viewing humans as inherently separate from the rest of nature is actually part of the problem. You will be so much better served redirecting that guilt into supporting the humans who are helping nature or resisting those who are hurting it.
Both of these tags are right. I love when a cat will just put up with your silly human games. They love you and know you love them and are just happy with you.
Cats not only are capable of love, but they are capable of understanding and having a sense of humor. Sure, sometimes things get lost in translation because there's a language barrier-- and sometimes what humans see as funny is really just mean-spirited-- but gentle, low-stakes stuff like in the video? Yeah, most cats (who have a good relationship with their humans) know it's just silly haha.

The sale was part of a movement called Land Back, which sees ownership of lands return to tribes for the sake of effective stewardship.
"In Northern California, a Native American tribe is celebrating the return of ancestral lands in one of the largest such transfers in the nation’s history.
Through a Dept. of the Interior initiative aiming to bring indigenous knowledge back into land management, 76 square miles east of the central stretch of the Klamath River has been returned to the Yurok tribe.
Sandwiched between the newly-freed Klamath and forested hillsides of evergreens, redwoods, and cottonwoods, Blue Creek is considered the crown jewel of these lands, though if it were a jewel it wouldn’t be blue, it would be a giant colorless diamond, such is the clarity of the water.
Pictured: Blue Creek
It’s the most important cold-water tributary of the Klamath River, and critical habitat for coho and Chinook salmon. Fished and hunted on since time immemorial by the Yurok and their ancestors, the land was taken from them during the gold rush before eventually being bought by timber companies.
Barry McCovey Jr., director of the Yurok Tribal Fisheries Department, remembers slipping past gates and dodging security along Blue Creek just to fish up a steelhead, one of three game fish that populate the river and need it to spawn.
Profiled along with the efforts of his tribe to secure the land for themselves and their posterity, he spoke to AP about the experience of seeing plans, made a decade ago, come to fruition, and returning to the creek on which he formerly trespassed as a land and fisheries manager.
“To go from when I was a kid and 20 years ago even, from being afraid to go out there to having it be back in tribal hands … is incredible,” he said.
Part of the agreement is that the Yurok Tribe would manage the land to a state of maximum health and resilience, and for that the tribe has big plans, including restoring native prairie, using fire to control understory growth, removing invasive species, restoring native fish habitat, and undoing decades of land-use changes from the logging industry in the form of culverts and logging roads.
“And maybe all that’s not going to be done in my lifetime,” said McCovey. “But that’s fine, because I’m not doing this for myself.”
The Yurok Tribe were recently at the center of the nation’s largest dam removal, a two decades-long campaign to remove a series of four hydroelectric dams along the Klamath River. Once the West Coast’s third-largest salmon run, the Klamath dams substantially reduced salmon activity.
Completed last September, the before and after photographs are stunning to witness. By late November, salmon had already returned far upriver to spawn, proving that instinctual information had remained intact even after a century of disconnect.

“Seeing salmon spawning above the former dams fills my heart,” said Joseph L. James, chairman of the Yurok Tribe, the leaders of the dam removal campaign along with the Karuk and Klamath tribes.
“Our salmon are coming home. Klamath Basin tribes fought for decades to make this day a reality because our future generations deserve to inherit a healthier river from the headwaters to the sea.”
Last March, GNN reported that the Yurok Tribe had also become the first of America’s tribal nations to co-manage land with the National Park Service under a historic memorandum of understanding involving Redwoods National Park.
The nonprofit Save the Redwoods bought a piece of land adjacent to the park, which receives 1 million visitors annually and is a UNESCO Natural Heritage Site, and handed it over to the Yurok for stewardship.
The piece of land, which contained giant redwoods, recovered to such an extent that the NPS has incorporated it into the Redwoods trail network, and the two agencies will cooperate in ensuring mutual flourishing between two properties and one ecosystem.
Back at Blue Creek, AP reports that work has already begun clearing non-native conifer trees planted for lumber. The trunks will be used to create log jams in the creek for wildlife habitat.
Costing $56 million, the land was bought from the loggers by Western Rivers Conservancy, using a mixture of fundraising efforts including private capital, low interest loans, tax credits, public grants and carbon credit sales.
The sale was part of a movement called Land Back, which involves returning ownership of once-native lands of great importance to tribes for the sake of effective stewardship. [Note: This is a weirdly limited definition of Land Back. Land Back means RETURN STOLEN LAND, PERIOD.] Studies have shown around the tropics that indigenous-owned lands in protected areas have higher forest integrity and biodiversity than those owned by national governments.
Land Back has seen 4,700 square miles—equivalent to one and a half-times the size of Yellowstone National Park—returned to tribes through land buy-back agreements in 15 states." [Note: Since land buyback agreements aren't the only form of Land Back, the total is probably (hopefully) more than that.]

We currently only owe $50 for today. We had posts up on bluesky all while we slept last night and not a single piece of funding came. We cannot have a balance. The hotel is kicking anyone out who lets a balance carry over from the previous night.
Please do not let us get kicked out.
Linktree is here, we do have items up on a shop for those who may want to help but want something in exchange. We will get a commission off those.
