AUgust 2026

With summer here we thought to do something refreshing and new this August, so allow me to present the first ever AUgust event!!

Long story short: Let's put our beloved Siege characters in an AU - any type you want, any way you want, the sky and your imagination is the limit baby! You can sign up for AUgust until the 19th of July, with just a message on our discord, or if you're a new participant, DM one of the DualRainbow mods.

Same rules as always apply (minimum 1k words, it can be a full fledged story, the first chapter of a longer story, or even a recollection of headcannons for a scenario in particular).

Everyone will post their works on the 30th of August, so y'all can have time to both write and enjoy your holidays. See you soon! 😉

Alright I read this like thrice and it got me feeling different things. Love in dystopian world, then Mira seeing how other people still achieve it while herself feels like she should be happy, but there is a tinge of 'what ifs.' And Amaru is just who she is. Unapologetically herself. It's bittersweet, yo. That's on-brand of Queasy's writing and her girls ;_;

Okay so the thing is... Anybody who knows me knows that I don't like DocLion... It's just not my jam, it's just not my vibe, it's just not my favourite struggle. Now that being said, put to the side and stomped on, this was so f-ing good if y'all don't go and read it I'll personally come and infect you with it because it's just SO GOOD. Like bro. It made me cry!!! Multiple times?! Huh. Nobody expected that and yet here we are. Me crying over a ship I don't even like usually <- BECAUSE ITS THAT DANG GOOD GANG! Go. Read it. Close tumblr and just go and read it. I'll wait.

Now it's time for a bit of an Alternate Universe, and of course even there our guys are on the side of the law! It feels natural, and seeing Vigil kick ass is always a treat. Although I enjoyed quite a bit the unexpected rescue, and from there Vigil was already doomed cause oh boy, love at first sight hit him harder than that criminal! And Lesion is just his usual calm, unruffled self, which is a very fun contrast :D

Well, goddang, if spiraling would be a person they would be named Marius Streicher, sheesh! I'm too afraid to imagine how stinky he must have been by the end of this :'D Poor guy and his obsession with delicate machinery- anyway! I apriciate the fact that his team is trying to support him eventhough they could have shot him down with some sleeping dart to drag him out to get some rest. And I love that Shuhrat is so sweet and caring even if he could be a menace about the whole deal. All of us get stuck in a spiral from time to time so yeah- poor boo. But he is better now! And showered and fed and... possibly getting married? Heck?

Sun’s Out Guns Out Day 4 by @parragone

Don't mind me, I'm just going to set up my tent and stay here forever. Where do I even begin with this? The worldbuilding is deliciously desolate, the characters weary but hopeful, the furure uncertain but GAY nonetheless. This is such a lovely blend of a post-apocalyptic landscape with all its survival desperations and an international org trying to tackle tasks all over the globe. How do you even maintain any kind of meaningful bond throughout all that? Hail satellite phones, that's how. I wonder who's maintaining those in space. Is anyone keeping up a space program skeleton crew? 

Either way, this is amazingly fun and I desperately hunger for more.

BAHAHA ROYAL PURPLE AND FUSCHIAN NEBULA GOT ME LAUGHING LIKE Vigil who are you trying to fool? Gosh imagining Vigil wearing those colours got me feeling giddy because that is SO out of his usual and he's making the best effort. This fic right here shows us how real love should be. We don't need to deny it, we don't need to feel like we should hide it. Good read homie good one.

I do love a good self-discovery story, and boy with Kapkan's lack of self-reflection and awareness when it comes to feelings, he is the perfect victim for this, isn't he? The signs are all there, and you can't help but observe entranced to see what will be the breaking point that finally clues him in. Can't wait to see the conclusion in the next chapter!

Oh me, oh mah, well good evening Ladies, Gentlemen and all you Monarch out there, Pride event of 2026 is coming to you with a blast! And boy, what other way to start it off than with a gorgeous, kind of heartbreaking fic about colors and shapes and thoughts of love. Some of these made me smile, some of these made me sad, but that's how life is, isn't it? And that's kind of how love is as well. So go ahead and give it a read, you won't be unsatisfied :D

It’s time bring some colour and Pride into Rainbow! With June around the corner, we are asking you once again to join us to celebrate Pride. The theme for this event is the LGBTQ+ experience, and a celebration of it. If you’d like to participate, this is what you need to do:

To register, please send asks (or DM to one of the mods) that includes:

Your preferred name

Your preferred website to post the fic (AO3, FFN, Wattpad etc.)

The best way to contact you (Discord, Tumblr, Twitter etc.)

THE LATEST DATE TO APPLY WILL BE MAY 23rd, and the fics will be posted around the end of June and onward (the event duration is determined by the number of participants.)

Remember: the minimum length is 1k words and everyone is welcome to participate!

Who am I to judge? Who am I to turn it down? I liked their verbal fight, even more so than the actual one. Both sides questionable, both sides acting like a hard boiled egg. I love it! I'm on board! In the spirit of Valentine's let's fight over who is the man!

Siege the Valentine Day 7 by @oreoinhell

Fuze/Jäger, 3.3k.

That was a very measured and rational way to approach something inherently irrational, like feelings, but it was to be expected from our protagonists'. Mute's frustration with the whole thing as a first-line bystander was hilarious, same as the little glimpse into the crazy theories the recruits cook up about the operators! I also quite enjoyed the process of how Fuze became slowly integrated into a wider social life just because of, in Mute's words, his severe tunnel vision regarding Fuze :'D Lovely fluffy fic, thank you!

Kali/Osa, 2k.

First of all GODDAMN did I want to see more on how their relationship was going to develop because the build up got me feeling the feels. That particular tickle, the anticipation before emotions gonna spill. But hey, that means this fic sucks the readers in. Investing into the character that is Osa, and her psyche. And a bit of friendly banter with her fellow teammate. Good read, my bro. So 2nd chapter when?

Tachanka/Kapkan, 6.5k.

Do you want a fic where they get straight to the point? With spice and witty banters that feels so animated and natural? Say no more because kiki wrote you a fic that feels like a pot of jam. Boiling and bubbling, spreading the delicious scent and then when cooled down, sweetness is left for you to enjoy. I feel like these easy steps for Tachanka's bias for Kapkan because one, Kapkan showed courage and Tachanka loved every bit of what Kapkan could take ;) Always a pleasure to read, my bro.

Siege The Valentine day 4 by @dumplingie !

Spicy French action to its fullest. I completely admire your dedication to start this ab ovo, from the very conceptualization of the idea to the absolute climax (pun intended) of it.

Because it all starts from some cards and a bet - and like all good bets, it leads to something hot and heavy by the end. Honestly, Rainbow is handling the whole idea of Doc in a nurse outfit far too casually, Lord knows I would not be the same 👀

Also, do not believe the author's note, this does not read like an energy-drink fueled 3am speedrun of a fic idea, it's a well-written work with subtle humor and a carefully developed dynamic!
