MANDRAGORA
[noun]
1. a narcotic, short-stemmed European plant, Mandragora officinarum, of the nightshade family, having a fleshy, often forked root somewhat resembling a human form. Also known as a mandrake.
2. another name for the May apple.
Etymology: probably via Middle Dutch or English from Latin mandragoras (whence Old English mandragora), from Greek. The form mandrake was probably adopted through folk etymology, because of the allegedly human appearance of the root and because drake (dragon) suggested magical powers.
[Benjamin A. Vierling - Mandragora]

This is an excellent joke, ok.
I saw Gravity today and there was a whole lot less King Behemoth kiting than I expected.
Thanks for the words of encouragement with the prototype. I worked on him more, now he looks much better. Gave him an open mouth and shaped the body a bit more, most importantly defined his booty better.
This is the same one as before, I didn’t have enough fabric to start over so I just tweaked this one. If I make another one I will make the body longer so I can add goobbue boobies.
Lots of fun, even if I poked myself 19675463524 times.
oh my lord, i want one.
When you accidentally misclick and heal a party member who is aleady at full HP.
You do look like a tomato.

Who let fucking Moon Moon on FFXI?
Man my puns are killing tonight.
Now I know how Bahamut feels.
Don’t worry kids, I’ll just put on my helmet and we can play Jurassic Park.
… Oh wait, no. Those kids’ grandfather survived in the end.
Mattoid's on a roll.
Some amusing easter eggs hidden in chat preferences for your chat tabs. The devs of FFXIV certainly have a sense of humor!! xD
Ugh. Fuck Attohwa Chasm...

Dead asked me the other day how I would rank all the mmos I’ve played, and after ranking FFXI as 1, I had a hard time with the rest since they all feel, and often play the same way.
See the parts I like the most about XI are not having to have my hand on the mouse and just playing with the keyboard, the whole menu and macro set up (hotkeys are just macros cluttering your HUD), you don’t have to be standing right on top of your mob, and there is an auto-attack.
With many of the other mmos I’ve had no choice but to play KB+M, have to be constantly clicking LMB, or hitting hotkeys to attack, and be standing right on top of the mob - which may move so I have to also be ready on the WASD front so god forbid if I was trying to ctrl+0 or something.
Another thing that gets off putting are all the markers above the heads of NPCs it just breaks from the flow, and the cluttered atmosphere of a lot of mmos.
The last point I need to make is, at least before abyssea, FFXI had a satisfyingly difficult nature, you felt accomplished after you achieved your goals - I know all my frustration was washed away once I finally managed to steal my scroll of warp off Maat.
The only thing not ever worth it in that game is climbing that fucking mountain.
...climbing the fucking mountain.
It seems like taking a potential love interest out to dinner would be specifically shunned by Aht Urhganians. That is, unless you mind a smokin’ hot pink avian mackin’ on your date… and recycling that expensive sushi.
They don’t call it French kissing.
They call it Colibri Kissing.
Sorry, I couldn’t resist making something.
There’s probably negative meat on colibri, but screw it. I’ll eat their damn beaks to honor the wishes of my Lady.
Ok, this one’s just for you. :3
Oh my god.
OK THAT LAST PICTURE. THIS NEEDS TO STOP
