I've seen people say more than once online that Domnhall Gleeson (Irish actor who played Bill Weasley and apparently he was in The Force Awakens) should play Sean in a RDR live action. The fandom is notorious for bad fan casting suggestions but this is one that I totally see it. I mean look!!

Except that he's in his 40's now 🫤. We just need a time machine, and the role is his.

hi. reminder that in every occasion where sean asked the people around him if they had missed his presence or appreciate it at all (which is many many occasions) dutch is the only person to have openly expressed that he missed sean and was glad to have him back. everyone else acted annoyed regardless of if they under the sarcasm missed him or genuinely didnt care. dutch (and lenny to a degree) were the only ppl to have positive interactions with sean that weren’t full of irony and annoyance towards his presence everytime he talked before he was shot in the head. he died thinking no one could stand him and made it into a joke to shield himself. he died thinking the gang he suffered torture for and openly loves and views as his family thought of him as nothing but a nuisance. despite being surrounded by people for his last few years of living, he died feeling as alone as when his dad died, as alone as when he ran from a boarding school and had to fend for himself in an unfamiliar country by himself. he never hears arthur call him brother . he dies as an annoyance, alone. k that’s all u can carry on now

HONESTLY I DO NOT KNOW

in my opinion it’s tricky, i think he definitely liked her sexually and like thought she was attractive, but i dont think he truly had romantic intentions for her. with karen, i think she knew that, she knew what sean was like when she sobered up and im not sure sober her likes him at all (as we can see in the interaction where he comes over looking for attention and she slaps him for being an ignorant dick, he ignores that she’s obviously upset to get what he wants and insists she feels something when she says she doesnt)

of course we also have the interaction where sean approaches tilly and mary beth and asks them to marry him, while obviously not being serious but showing no loyalty or actual relationships between him and karen.

people love sean and karen because of their one night stand at his party, but honestly i dont see them together at all. sean is an attention seeker from her because he finds her attractive, i will admit that, but in my opinion im not seeing much or any genuine romance between them.

#i started a new playthrough last night and remembered this post was buried in my likes #thought i'd reblog it 'cause it's pretty much my exact thoughts on the ship too #people always say karen drank herself to death because sean died but like. no she didn't #her drinking gets worse with each chapter because of the downfall of the gang. sean just happened to die at the end of chapter 3 #no hate if you like the ship and interpret it differently obvs #i get the appeal of golden retriever bf and black cat gf #i just legitimately don't see any genuine affection between them
