the problem with ignorance isn't just that it's extremely prevalent within our society, it's that it comes in different shapes as well.

yes, i'm talking about the tiktok self-proclaimed overly performative "wokesters" who claim to be leftists, hate on people who like political figures like thomas sankara because they're not "woke enough", have no sense of originality, make shit poetry that conveys no real emotion and label it off as a "metaphor" so nobody is able to criticize the lack of emotion put into their shit writing, think they're the final boss of woke even though they're blatantly racist and it shows whenever they try to make the existence of a fictional character that's not white about racism [for example, calvin clark from the backrooms movie.], over-fetishize real people then complain when men have celebrity crushes [keyword: crush, not fetish], will not listen to an opinion they do not agree with and fail to make an coherent argument during discussion instead making petty arguements and using stickers to convey they find the other party's argument pathetic even though they refuse to make any proper vindication themselves. you know, that archetype of people.

these people are the dewey jenkins of the political world on social media, and they're a prime example of ignorance disguised as intelligence and literacy. these people aren't leftists, they're not "woke", these people aren't literate, and they're not intelligent either. they're ignorant and angry and need something to hide behind so they use the political ideology they think could associate with their anger the most and hide behind it. we address this sort of ignorance when it comes from self-proclaimed "far-right" individuals, but why do we never address it when it comes from these self-proclaimed "far-left" individuals? they're the same genre of ignorant individuals, hiding behind opposites hoping it will make people take them more seriously. they leave no room for real political debates, opinions and discussions. they depend on political cartoons and reddit posts in hopes it will get their clearly unthought through ideas and messages across; it doesn't.

and if you think this is a centrist take or a take that is supporting of any side of the political spectrum, then you're the problem. we love to cherry-pick the ignorance we address because we want our arguments to be stronger, that we never want to address where said ignorance is rooted from, that we never want to address the ignorance that comes from our side as well.
