Entry 1
Ethical Decision Making in Business.
That’s where it all started.
A group project in which we had to discuss the six steps of ethical decision making. Our professor chose our groups randomly, as he wanted us to get out of our comfort zones and make new friends.
Lucky for me I was paired up with none other than Zack.
He’d only been the muse of my fantasies for a year now. Big deal.
We decided it’d be a good idea to meet in person to complete the project, so we met at the library two days later.
There he was, waiting for me on the 3rd floor. He was wearing a plain black tee, grey jogger shorts, white mid-length Nike socks, and a pair of white vans. He had a bracelet on – the eco-friendly bubbly one that they sell all over campus. Rolling his finger across his phone screen, he looked up and saw me – and I saw him.
His amazing green eyes, his soft face. The tooth mask was a bit tacky, but it’s undesirable look only accentuated his amazing facial features.
“Nice to meet you,” he said as we shook hands. Firm hand shake and soft hands. A perfect combination.
While I was familiar with his face, this was the first time I’d ever heard it. It was possibly the most angelic voice I’d ever heard. There was the typical frat bro-ness in his tone, but otherwise it was music to my ears.
He insisted we sit at one of the booths. He claimed it was easier to concentrate there. I agree, I love the booths. Who knew the booths would give me this moment?
We sat there discussing what approach was best for the project, yet I could only think of the intimacy of the moment. I never wanted it to end.
He was perfection rolled up into one human being.
Intelligent, sensitive, funny, lively, etc. Even his cologne was amazing. It’s amazing how much you can learn from one 20 minute sit-down with someone.
When all was said and done we exchanged phone numbers and emails. We said our goodbyes and went our separate ways.
As he left with his friend, he gave me a wink. A wink that would make up for all of the atrocities of 2020. A wink that sent me into 7th heaven and back down to Earth. I may have blushed, but that only adds to the fanfare.
Until next time, Zach.
