i was looking at jarren's tag today and it's really funny how the remaining fangirls are acting as if nothing happened or it wasn't that important.

i think they're living in a fantasy that they're going to be his girl because i refuse to believe that someone who claims to be against everything he stands for would continue supporting someone like that. i noticed their weird parasocial behavior before all this came to light so it's no surprise that they're acting this way, but it's no less shameful because it's easy to detach yourself from someone you don't know and have no relationship with, especially an football/baseball/basketball player (from whom you should always expect the worst).

he's not that good at his job, and he's certainly not an example of anything, so i'm pretty sure that if he weren't conventionally attractive, they wouldn't be here. i wouldn't be surprised either if them are white american, just like him.

i think the worst i saw was people using his mental health issues as an excuse him... but their behavior doesn't surprise me at all. it's expected. both of them.

i agree with you on the point of it being shameful on lack of detachment shown, couldn’t be me, as much as i adored him when the rose colored glasses were on i had no qualms on distancing myself and my blog from any association with him, continuing to support him didn’t even cross my mind. why would i continue to support a subpar baseball player who doesn’t give a fuck about the treatment of his own people? who doesn’t speak up about issues if they don’t pertain to him? who chooses to support and endorse a vile man who continues to do irreparable damage to this country and the people in it?

jarren made his political stance very clear with a shirt he was wearing while hanging out with friends which upset people, with good reason, and he proceeded to block people, like the baby he is, who called him out for his hypocrisy of not only being half mexican and representing Mexico in the upcoming WBC but also supporting a vile man who constantly targets the mexican community and other marginalized groups and is overall a shitty person, i could go on and on but i’ll leave it at that!

but basically i chose to stop supporting a man who is only vocal about issues when they pertain to him and not others, who chooses not to speak up for his people and the treatment they receive at the hands of the man he so proudly endorses but wants to continue to benefit professionally from being associated with Mexico for the WBC, who wants to be “loud and proud” with his political stance but starts blocking the second he gets any sort of criticism because he can’t take the heat.

in this day and age everything IS political. if you can’t see that or choose not to then that means you live in a bubble of privilege and delusion and i’m going to ask you to get your head out of your own ass. thanks!
