This is a long post. I love to yap. There will be links.
So... Do you, too, love Black Butler musicals? Are you tired of finding only crunchy four times regurgitated youtube uploads of them? Do you have too much space on your hard drive? Because I sure do have a solution for you! You can find this juicy solution further in this post or on my dedicated kuromyu archive page.
As a huge Musical Kuroshitsuji fan, I wanted to share my love for them through sharing my collection of the DVDs and Blu-rays. Specifically, sharing their disc images, so that everyone could watch the best versions of these fine musicals there are without committing to the grueling task of importing said discs from Japan. I’m sharing these for the sake of our small Kuromyu fandom and for posterity. As the older musicals aren’t even being included in the current online streamings, and getting your hands on their physical copies is only going to get harder and more expensive, I want to preserve them for future fans who will struggle/are struggling to find a decent copy to watch to even decide if they actually like this stuff in the first place. Of course, if you love these musicals, I encourage you to still actually go buy them (they come in very pretty boxes!)
I'm sharing torrent files of disc images, aka digital copies of the discs, .iso files to be precise. A player like VLC can play them from the get-go, though you can also use a disc emulator to mount the “discs” on or/and use a tool to convert them into a more convenient format if you wish to do so.
Why I don’t simply share a bunch of .mkv files or something? Well, I have two reasons:
The Blu-Rays are chonky (40+ gigs!), and any conversion that would mitigate the size also inevitably impacts the quality, and this is supposed to be an archive for fandom posterity. As I lack the technical knowledge on how to make beautiful, but lean video files, I’ll leave this task to others. Do it yourself (and share it, too!) You have my blessing.
I want to preserve the crunchy DVD menus, also, lol. They’re nothing special, but they add to the vibe, you know?
Each torrent file consists of two or three iso files: a main musical disc, a bonus/backstage disc and an Animate exclusive bonus/backstage disc. All of them are sourced directly from the discs that I own irl. I also own all of the pamphlets and visual books for their respective musicals. I’m not going to scan them (don’t really have the means), but I can at least take photos if needed. By request only, though.

Yeah, starting with 3.5 the main files are humongous, that's Blu-Ray for you. Most (all?) DVDs are region-locked, but I can confirm that at least VLC plays all of them with no issue. YMMV. None of them are subbed.
If you download anything, please try to seed for as long as you can. While I’m not planning to stop seeding any time soon (I’d have to have a major falling out with Kuroshitsuji for that to happen, and I’ve been a fan since late 2010, lol), I’m only one person, and the Blu-Rays do be chonky. If I end up being the only seeder, and trying to download something you find no connection, consider this:
I live in the UTC/GMT+3 timezone, and I prefer to shutdown my PC during the night, so please be patient, I might be simply getting my honk shoo mimimimis;
contact me! DM me here, on tumblr (if I don’t look active, your best chances for a faster response would be on my art acc), on twitter, or even on reddit, lol. DulcetPill is the name. Let me know that you’re trying to download, and I’ll make sure to keep my hard drive plugged in and leave PC on.
You’re welcome to share this post and the aforementioned archive page, these torrents and their contents with fellow fans! If you want to upload them “properly” somewhere, be my guest! I shared and will continue to share all of this because of my immeasurable love for all things Kuroshitsuji and its musical adaptations in particular. I want more people to love them too, and in the best possible quality :)
I only ask you not to tag Kuromyu actors/staff/Yana-sensei on social media in posts with links, and also maybe avoid main fandom tags on twitter or wherever else official Kuro pages are active, because, you know, while this little ‘project’ is made out of love, it’s also a bit (a lot) on the yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum side. Be mindful.
Thank you for your attention, consideration and potential reblogs! 🖤 watch kuromyu or else

Added the Tango on the Campania Animate bonus disc. If you ever wanted to watch 5 billion versions of AbberHanks shenanigans or poor Reo trying to hold The Phoenix Pose™ and succeeding failingly, you’re set.
Kind of unexpected (to me), but pretty big:
Added the 2013 version of The Most Beautiful DEATH in the World, full package, Animate bonus disc included.
Last, but definitely not least… 🌲🧙♀️HUGE UPDATE🐺🌲 (alarms blaring, fireworks blasting, fish screaming):
Added the technically-not-so-long-awaited 2025 Emerald Witch and Werewolves’ Forest musical!! Full Package as well, Animate bonus not forgotten. Had to update my software to properly rip it, lol, it’s so fresh.
The Animate bonus disc includes the full performance recording, with the camera set to capture the entire stage. Crunchy 480p, but still, neat!
The good ol’ regular bonus/backstage disc this time is a Blu-Ray (in all its FullHD glory), so the “complete edition” of this particular musical is especially chonky, being almost 100 GB. You’re still welcome to convert these into more lightweight videos on your own to share with others or to simply save space on your hard drive. I will continue to hoard them as they are.
Hi! I'm Moon, and I've been a fan of the Kuroshitsuji musicals for like 10 years now. I was wondering if you had access to the latest musical, since I've been looking everywhere and can't seem to find it! I'd really appreciate any help.
As a matter of fact, I do indeed have access to the Emerald Witch musical! I just need to find a good moment to prepare its torrent file and update my kuromyu post. I haven't got the time to even unpack my Blu-ray :')
But it should happen very soon! Probably even this week. Stay tuned, as they say.

A personal rant, originally stashed away in the tags of another person’s post, but I realized too late that there’s a hard limit on tags, so it got cut off. This post is the surviving part of it (the screenshots) + stuff that I cared to remember to add again. When I say it’s a personal rant, I mean it. It exists only because I wanted to yap somewhere. If it happened to sneak its way into the search tab, feel free to ignore it entirely.
(often enough the difference between the two is quite literally just a tag. makes you think that at least some people go the loudly ~dadson~ route more out of fear of mockery and ostracization rather than it being their 100% full genuine interpretation (self-censorship of sorts). and I’d bet money that a non-zero number of those people look up steamy sebaciel fanart and then feel catholic guilt over it, lol)
...because sometimes (more often than not, honestly) I just want to indulge in the mystery, enjoy the plot, the characters, the vibes, laugh at dem memes without turning everything into an "ooooh they FAUWKING". Because while I do find it amusing, I also find it lacking. Reductive. At the end of the day, simply boring. And it's very much not exclusive to Serious Manga Discussions, I want to engage with memes and silly headcanons/microscenarios that aren't just flavours of buttsex and "they're soooo in love!! TRUST".
But it feels like the people who tend to engage in my desired variety of 'vocal appreciation' would crucify me for having eyes and not ignoring the innate sensuality and weirdness of the pair. Even if I can mostly keep it to myself.
And I do keep it to myself. Here, on tumblr, I don't even tag the ship when reblogging, despite often enough using it simply as a shorthand for their duo. Locking lips? Sharing an intimate conversation? Just standing in the background, barely recognizable? It's all sebaciel to me.
But I respect others' boundaries, and, because I don't want to over-analyze every post, discerning if it was originally tagged as ship, and if not, whether or not the op would care if I did... I just. Don't. Tag it. At All. A stupid act of conformity, I suppose, as I personally wouldn't care if someone were to tag with a ship name, say, a drawing of mine depicting a platonic duo, even if it's my notp.
The invisible you in my walls could ask "why care about someone who would block you for something like that? they're clearly not your person." But I just don't want to lose the memes and cool art, man. I don't want to reblog a silly doodle and come back a week later looking for more only to realize that I've been blocked for a neutral tag. First world problems, and I'm not even from a first world country lmao. Not tagging sebaciel is annoying, and judging whether or not a post could be interpreted as 'shippy' enough to warrant the tag is annoying, as I simply do not separate their dynamic into categories (that's their beauty to me). So what do I do. Do I invent a tag just for my own convenience and peace of mind...
And I do know that the proverbial Ship Crowd engages in meaningful discussions, too, it's just to find them you have to slog through waves of hornyposting, of which I'm not necessarily against, but to do it on the regular? Ugh.
(At times like this I feel for those miserable souls crying in every fanfic-related thread "why is it always about romance with you!! where are our gen fics!! we need more gen!! down with your shipslop!!" I can't ever abandon my ships, but... yeah. Yeah.)
Never had fandom friends for kuro and am not necessarily looking for them (I'm more of a lurker) but the desire to find one’s corner with the ‘right vibes’ never leaves, I guess. And it's just... I've been into kuro for about 15 years now, I love it dearly, but I find current fandom culture super depressing and alienating. Being in the fandom feels like quietly drinking black tea with bunny-shaped cookies in a corner of a rave orgy and simultaneously like sitting in a church full of judgmental aunties while having a HAWT YAOI XD (it's pg-13) manga volume in my bag. "I don't belong here/THEY WILL KNOW".
