Nicolle had been back at the town for only few days but she already regret her decision to come back. Especially today. The day was awful. No, the day was nighmare. At first the call from her aunt, then the boy who poured out a whole cup of coffe all over her, and finally the meeting with her cousin, who happened to be engaged to Nicolle’s fiance and who gave her wedding invitation. And yet it was only noon. At least nobody looked at her with i’m sorry your fiance left you this way look. But the day was not done yet so there was time for this to happened, she thought when she entered nearest bar.Gosh, she started to act just as her father. She should probably go home and try to forget about everything, but she saw the invitation in her hands and she just continue her way to the bar.

Day drinking wasn’t a new feeling for Benji, it’s not like he hadn’t done it before but he had always had a partner. One of his many siblings or a friend of his but this time everyone was busy this time, everyone was busy and he was alone. So he sat alone at this bar drinking something strong to process the fresh new hell he was currently in. Looking over at the girl who had ordered a drink he grinned looking over at her. “You’ve had a pretty shit day too?“ Bringing the glass back to his lips and finishing off his own drink. Benji was never one to be shy about talking to strangers, something multiple people warned him about when he was a kid but he just had a naturally curious personality.

He couldn’t help but jump a little when he heard her voice. Something about her and Savannah’s honey dew voice he used to find so charming, now just triggered his fight or flight reflexes. “Georgia? What a smaller and smaller town this is becoming, how’s it going?“

“I’m going to be real with you here man there is a 100% chance this is going to happen again.“ This was a common occurrence in Benji’s life, he’d probably started well over a dozen fires since he was a kid most of them accidental. It was never like he had done things like this on purpose he was just...fire prone. “But I agree it is completely life threatening and thanks for the help.”

And it must be fate, because who should I run into on my first day back but you!” she said, ending it with bopping the tip of his nose with her finger. “It’s been ages, how’ve ya been, sweetie?” she asked, shaking head. “You better get in here ‘n give me a hug, or I sure will be upset!” she teased with a smile. 

Benji held back a laugh as she said a southern catchphrase, it had actually been so long since he’d heard one. “It’s me.“ He said forcing a smile, still keeping his guard up. “I just moved back too. I wouldn’t say fate- I mean it’s more of a crazy coincidence.“ Laughing to break the tention he felt. If this was fate then someone was definitely setting him up for disaster. When she said to hug him he hesitated for a moment but decided to just do it, maybe if he played nice she wouldn’t freak out like she had done before. So he moved behind the counter and wrapped his arms around her giving her a hug. Holding her again made Benji for a second go back in time like they were in high school again before he let her go knowing better not to think about that. “I’m good, I traveled a big in the van after I graduated you know wondered around a bit until I moved back. I uh- I work here actually until I find another job.“
