When you grow up to realize that you're not just parenting your parent now you've been doing it your whole life....

My mom recently said to me "I don't know why your dad never killed himself when you were a kid" I told her it was me I went downstairs and checked on him every single day. I usually found the dog in bed with him and between me and that dog we are the only reasons that man is still alive if not for caring for him during my childhood caring for him now. I'm tired y'all. Is anybody ever going to care for me?
