Free Public Release Post
Full res etc in the patron post!
As you follow the path through the wood, the trees part before you into a hillock glade, and a spiral path to a collection of huts the likes of which you've never seen before. Small, circular buildings jut from the earth like tubers, sprouts waving in the breeze like a welcoming, and torchbugs flit between them.

Sunflower Farm, 25x30
Verdant fields along the road give way to lush, yellow sunflowers, bright and pleasant. A simple thatched roof, garden, and tool shed, an appropriate dwelling for an NPC interaction, with a little twist.
Honestly, I just saw fields of sunflowers and thought they looked really pretty, and wanted to make a map of it. Day, Evening, and Night variants included for patrons.

The Crimson Court - 75x90 XL battlemap for some creepy October vibes
As you approach the vacant gates of this once magnificent estate, the towering trees along the road transition into the hanging willows, branches swaying at odd intervals, as if the plants themselves bristle at your presence. Nearby, a tent and campfire have likewise fallen to ruin. The resting spot for an adventuring party, perhaps, or simple looters lured here by the rumors of the bacchanalian feasts once held on these grounds for the nobility.
Deeper, the faint scent of acrid waters and decaying flesh hit your nose, and a steady din of mosquitos is impossible to ignore. If the stories are true, what happened to the noblemen and ladies that disappeared past the iron gates so long ago, their night of revels never to end? And what fate found the explorers that dared venture deeper into the crimson court...

The Village Square, Halloween! 31x30
patreon.com/dungeonmapster
A simple village, decorated for the holiday. Apple bobbing, pumpkin carving, trick or treating, and monster bashing!
Bandit Mine 25x25 This old mine was once worked for gold in service to the king. Now, brigands and bandits have claimed it, and made it the living quarters for their rebellious leader and his most trusted allies. patreon.com/dungeonmapster
Elven Village [25x30]
Patreon
The elf village rests quietly among the tall, pale trunks of red birch trees, their leaves casting a gentle coppery glow over the clearing. Only a handful of buildings stand here, modest yet elegant, each with smooth walls shaped from pale stone and wood, their roofs curving into graceful slopes or rounded domes that glimmer faintly with inlaid bronze filigree. The delicate patterns catch the light like liquid gold, tracing swirling motifs of leaves and constellations across their surfaces. Soft lanterns of amber glass hang from the eaves, filling the air with a warm, steady glow that complements the natural radiance of the birch grove. The paths between homes are simple earthen trails lined with moss and flowering herbs, their fragrance mingling with the fresh scent of bark and autumn leaves. It is a place of quiet harmony, where voices are low, laughter gentle, and every building seems to lean into the forest as though part of its living rhythm.
I've been tinkering and trying to make decent LOTR Elven style buildings for a long time, and never really loved what I came up with. Making tall, curved architecture that looks tall and curved in a 1-point top-down perspective is a challenge, especially when it's symmetrical, curved architecture. I thought this worked well though, and looks sufficiently Rivendellesque for my purposes.
The Grim Graveyard [18x22]
This sorry place must once have been majestic, but decades of neglect have brought it to ruin. The gates are broken, the stone walls crumbling. Even the statues, monuments to forgotten gods have toppled, with no keeper to maintain them.
The wind blows fallen leaves across the path, and just beyond the gates, it seems to whisper. At your feet, a path of old tracks, probably a graverobber or some lonely mourner, leading into this derelict ruin, but none lead out.

The Shipwreck Shelter
To accompany the Ships and Boats asset pack I released earlier this month, I was inspired to make a map of one of those ships after it’s been repurposed after an unwise crew sailed it into some rocky terrain before the tide eventually capsized it. These days, the wreck is now a shelter for whoever decided to make the best of a bad situation.
A bit weird perhaps, but enjoyable to make, and I hope an enjoyable addition to your map library!
Brigand's Bastion, 25x30
A broad palisade wall and wooden towers protect the entrance to this makeshift stronghold of cutthroats. Once a prosperous gold mine that filled the local lord's coffers, it's been seized by men who have abandoned law and order, seeking only their next meal and to fatten their purses by intercepting levies, merchants, and travelers too poorly equipped to fend them off.
Those who resisted now decorate the walls and courtyard, a lesson for any would-be adventurers foolish enough to accept the bounty and try to recover what loot hasn't already been spent or sent away, or rescue a kidnapped noble or unlucky peasant doomed to a horrible fate.

Just beyond the winding road, where the trees of the nearby woods lean like watchful sentinels, a small caravan has made camp. A circle of wagons and carts encloses a modest fire, its smoke rising in thin gray ribbons into the dusk. Horses, unhitched and grazing lazily, flick their tails at flies while a few lanterns sway from wagon frames, casting warm golden light across the camp. The place is humble but welcoming, a fleeting refuge before the road calls again.

Steam and the soft sounds of sloshing water and drowsily relaxed conversation float through the large stone chamber. Large pools kept full of warm water from natural hot springs below the earth are filled with bathers relaxing, and private baths in the back are curtained off, attendants moving to and fro with pitchers of warm water, washing cloths, or towels for paying clientele.
The perfect place to relax after an adventure, or perhaps just a place to catch a well-guarded criminal or corrupt politician without the benefit of arms and armor. Let's hope that the proprietors don't have any plans to take advantage of a plucky group of adventurers, forcing them into combat au naturale.
Forest Ambush [50x60]
A dirt road winds between the canopies of trees, terrain with which adventurers are well accustomed. Birdsong dances among the swaying limbs, and ahead, a fallen tree blocks the road. For travelers on foot or horseback, it is no great inconvenience, but for those hauling a cart through this meandering trail, it is a quandary indeed.
As you come to a halt, deciding the best course of action to clear the obstacle, the snap of crossbows split the calm silence, and a hail of bolts come raining toward you, as you look up just in time to catch a glimpse of steel, and sharpened stake barricades protruding from the nearby brush...

Spirit Grove [50x60]
In the heart of the forest lies a spirit grove, hushed and luminous with an otherworldly stillness. At its center rests a glassy lake, its waters shimmering faintly as though lit from beneath by unseen stars. A small island rises from the lake’s center, crowned by a lone, peculiar tree whose branches drip with leaves of vivid crimson, glowing softly against the pale mist that coils above the water. The air hums with a quiet reverence, and the grove feels less like a place of the mortal world than a threshold where unseen spirits linger, watching in silence.
Just experimenting with art styles a bit for fun.

Nomad Camp
Winds whistle across the plains, hard-scrabble lands in which no grass grows. The hardy folk who call this place home live lives of constant travel, following the winds and what beasts can thrive under the blistering sun. Expanding my resources again, I wanted to make some things that would work for native peoples and the myriad of cultures influenced by them in tabletop games. As usual, the assets are modular and fit for considerable remixing and combining. My players are making the trek across the hostile Storval Plateau in my Rise of the Runelords campaign, and I’ve decided that our ranger is due a run-in with the animal-spirit-worshipping Shoanti, and the opportunity to earn the respect find kinship with likeminded folk.

Whispers of wind through the burgeoning wildlife slowly retaking this ancient place that must once have been a site of importance to the people who built it, memorialized in stone, now overgrown with ivy and crumbling piece by piece to rubble on the paved stones below.
The efficacy of their craftsmanship is still a marvel today. What could have befallen its architects, whose works have outlasted their people all these thousands of years later…
