I’m not one to be posting food pics on my feed, but I needed to share this strawberry cake from @pizzagracebham. I was in a car wreck on Wednesday with my son Tennessee. Thankfully my son was not harmed except for headaches and it amplifying a muscle injury. I suffered crazy whiplash which caused a concussion. I’ve had manic episodes, sadness, short term memory issues, and neck pain. It could have been much worse. Thankfully I drive a freaking tank and it took the hit like a champ. I’ve been craving a meal from Pizza Grace since the accident. Tonight my daughter @edenbrittaann came to visit so I called in some pizzas and a Benton’s wedge salad. Well the amazing owners thought I needed a little something extra and gave us this perfect strawberry cake. This small gesture of kindness and encouragement meant so much to me. I’m grateful for my community in Birmingham of friends and fellow small business owners who support, encourage and lift each other up. While I’m at it, we also had a special delivery from @lindsaywhiteaker of @harvestrootsferments and @morgansowards of special food and teas for myself and my wife @ruggedandfancy. I love y’all. I love you Magoo. Thank you for taking care of me and driving me around and being so loving and patient with my emotional waves and manic episodes. I have nothing but gratitude right now.
