hydrophobiic:
The hatred Johanna had for the Capitol knew no bounds – even so, she still had to go through the motions of being there, lest she be punished, lest they somehow find a way to make her life even worse. It wasn’t rare to be approached by Capitol citizens; usually they were chipper, or creepily obsessive over her. This one, however, was different, and with her lacking either repulsive attitude, Johanna’s attention was caught.
“Yeah, that’s me.” Looking the girl in the eye, Johanna immediately noticed the… miserable air she had to her. “Who would you be?”
“My name’s Elizabeth Comstock. I really admire you, Miss Mason. You’re very strong.” She aspired to one day possess the same sort of strength. She’d spent her life beneath her father’s thumb. One day, she’d bring his reign over her to a swift end.
“It must be hard for you be here, after all the suffering the Capitol has caused. I’m...really sorry.”
