odd and even as numbers are so fucked to me it's literally just "not divisible by 2" and "divisible by 2" what's next are we getting fucky and wucky numbers that are/aren't divisible by 7?

Not me simping over the elegance of a proof that ends simply with just "Done." like damn okay. Mostly bc I like being wordy af in my proofs bc I just HAVE to explain "obviously this is impossible bc x and y". But goddamn a man who can break down a proof elegantly and simply my god my heart is swooned. Not me daydreaming about my fake mathematician boyfriend. AND IF THE MAN CAN CODE WELL AND FIX MY CODE? AND HAS GOOD MUSIC TASTE?? 😭

This man does not exist. QED.

In math when we’re trying to prove something we test it with counter examples, contradictions, etc. that make the proof inevitable and undeniable.

I keep finding myself stress testing what is meaningful to me, if I’m headed in the right direction, etc. to ensure it’s actually true from all angles.

But at the same time there is still lingering doubt. How does one get to a point where they are sure? Why can’t certainty and QED moments also translate to my life.

Maybe the proof itself is weak.
