I watched the Louis Theroux manosphere documentary, good watch in the sense that it's simultaneously funny and rage inducing in his usual fashion. I do appreciate his style of giving people enough rope to hang themselves. I could say 5 million things about this documentary but instead I'll just point out something tiny and irrelevant I noticed at 44:57 that amused me. Theroux went on a fuckhead's shitty podcast and at one point it shows the chat on the screen and all the dumb comments/ insults flying by and one of them caught my attention:

"This old geezer has a voice for radio"

lmfao that's a compliment not an insult! These people are so stupid on every conceivable level it's unbelievable. Minus the geezer part I suppose lol. The insult is supposed to be a FACE for radio, because radios don't have pictures. A VOICE for radio, which is an Audio medium, needs to be GOOD you fucking moron.

Another interesting note about the Louis Theroux OW interview:

In the Spotify full version, he says: “When the film came out it was derailed by publicity, multi dimensional mini scandals. Your relationship at the time was breaking up. You had a well publicized relationship with your costar Harry Styles. And there was a kind of misogynist dimension to a lot of the coverage of the drama…”

I wonder if someone is telling her to dial it back, and stop name-dropping H interviews. It seems like there is definitely some behind the scenes back and forth

Hilarious. Olivia W did an interview with Louis Theroux and he basically confirms her and Harry’s relationship and the insane misogyny that followed and asks her about it. She gives a thoughtful response. Larries go nuts of course.

So funny that once upon a time they actually thought Louis Theroux was going to do some type of expose in aid of Larry because Louis Tomlinson followed him soon after a pic of he and Harry came out. Maybe Glastonbury or something? I’ll need to do a little research on that one, but I remember it pretty clearly. They always get their hopes up only to have them dashed in the most cruel way.

Harry is a long time friend of Louis Theroux, so him bringing up the relationship is gold.

Being a larrie is misery and a daily humiliation ritual at this point. 😂

I can see Louis Theroux making a documentary that exposes the sad, mad lives of fandom conspiracy theorists like Gina, Spade, and Marte.

Ugh. But, yes. I’m surprised he went there at all. Especially given that he knows Harry and he’s not a stupid man. But, I guess everyone is just playing the game.

And it’s infuriating that she’s allowed to, essentially, confirm their relationship now. You know she’s going to continue bringing it up until the end of time.

I love that she literally NEVER takes any responsibility for the backlash or the negativity that Holivia created. And how she brushed aside how it hurt the film (and everyone involved in it), and instead focuses just on how it affected her, personally
