ramblings of each character under the cut in order
Azrael (he/it), deity of death. so solemn and quiet that his presence is almost haunting, but dont be mistaken--his warm light draws you in like a moth to a flame, always sending a wave of serenity over you like no other. a standing warrior of thousands (if not millions) of years, his name is only carried in whispered tales among mortals and is often seen as a prominent symbol of strength, so much so that they picked up his name in the same manner that "oh my god" is used. dont let his quiet demeanor lead you to believe he has no spine, though... he still carries the kind of fire that sparks in a warrior's chest, and has his bouts of growing easily frustrated if you stand to test him.
Kage (he/him) is a tranquil and protective fashion designer. calmly passive as he is, people who are unfamiliar with him may be taken aback at his rather blunt comments. the comments are never rude, he just says it like it is... hes an amazing listener and always seems to be hyper aware of somebody's behaviors to the point he can get pretty accurate assumptions of how a person is feeling in certain environments, a skill that he picked up after dragging himself through his hellish college years. nowadays, he happily spends his time with his husband and two temporary roommates.
carmine (she/her) is an absentminded, very unserious bearded vulture/secretary bird hybrid anthro who seems far too laid back for the amount of shit shes gotten into for almost every day of her life. previously an unwilling bountyhunter with her girlfriend constance, carmine managed to shift her line of work to stealing valuables and fighting off competition with her deadly kicks. despite how much it looks like she lacks urgency, she always seems to swing right into a fight with such a face of disinterest that it really makes you wonder if she's aware that she exists.
constance (she/her) is a skittish cheetah/tiger hybrid anthro who is fueled by spite. having a relatively normal upbringing as a child, her path of choosing crime continues to be a topic of debate in her head as she tries to decide whether it was a good call or not... needing money to get by, she and her girlfriend carmine cluelessly picked up a career of bountyhunting that put the both of them into a bind they struggled to break out of for years. after escaping, however, she took up stealing valuables with carmine and has been surprisingly at peace ever since (well, as much peace as you can get for still operating in organized crime).
avant (she/her, top drawing) and queen veve (she/her, bottom drawing) are both fictional characters within the world of secutia for a game series called pollux. avant is a fierce spearwoman who stands silently alongside veve and doesnt seem to be one for words, always opting to stand in the shadows and away from bustling life. queen veve on the other hand is a prideful and boisterous figure of royalty who cashes in on humor more than anything. while this nature leads you to falsely believe that she is not the greatest queen, she is actually extremely dutiful and has a mean hand in combat with her trusty halberd. the two are incredibly loyal to one another and have been depicted as great friends for many years within the franchise, but you could imagine the amount of times the fandom saw them more as friends. not complaining though the franchise is extremely close to just making it canon anyways so the fandom is gonna be eating like kings eventually #yuri

after receiving numerous reports of missing people throughout the kingdom, the knights of the broccoil crown find themselves scrambling to get to the bottom of what's causing the disturbance with the ultimate goal of putting the anonymous terror to rest
amidst the disarray, an unknown traveler of the night arrives at the gates. his solemn, short words and vague recollection of his origins were met with skepticism... until a soft spoken sentence made the armored guards freeze in their tracks:
"your people are disappearing. i can help."
a complete nobody offering help to a foreign kingdom hes never visited, to put an end to the missing reports slowly piling up and striking fear into the citizens?
...nobody wants to leave their homes anymore, brolly reminded himself when he heard of this new development. the knights were getting nowhere. any leads went cold, bodies never turned up, people were never able to provide details leading up to the ones disappearing... a beast of a case that he slowly began to accept was much farther than the reach battalion. they're petrified.
he, with a tired heart and open mind, extended his hand towards the newcomer to seal the deal
