The rush of judgement still running through his veins and with resolve burning in his eyes, Tsukasa approached his now fallen opponent. Standing before Leo, the founder of the unit he now hold so dear to his heart. A unit he cannot let crumble no matter the cost. “I simply cannot let you ruin this. If you can abandon your knights once, I cannot trust you to stand by us again. You are no fit for a king, and I can and will not let you put us in a vulnerable position once again”
Pawn after pawn had fallen, those only created for this purpose to be soon thrown away, to be played and moved between the two crowned. Watching people falling to the ground, body after body being broken into mindless pieces. Here they was the two red heads, the younger first year victorious. The older fallen on his knees, bowing to what is supposedly Knights new leader. Their new king. Not that Leo would ever confess he had made himself weaker for the first year, not enough to be seen through. But enough for Knights to still stand as it should, as it deserved.
Sweat was dripping down the side of his face, orange hair sticking to his cheeks as he finally rose from the ground, green eyes intently watching the purple. In the background, something.. The.. The persons there didn’t belong to him anymore. Even if it hurt. A judgement was a judgement. There wouldn’t be any moment he would back out of a contract, neither any bets he had made.
“Haha~ I see I see, we did make a promise, Newbie. If you wanted you could do what ever you wanted to do with Knights. I didn’t win so you won’t disband you.” There wasn’t anything he could do anyway, each defence he had put up, had been broken down forcefully, to be expected for the group once his... If it even ever had been his, he didn’t belong there more, he couldn’t fit in with all their friendship and Sena...
“I will be what ever pawn you want me as, I can stand back as a song write, or if the Ousama wish, I can completely leave the unit, this is no longer my place to belong.” The objection sounded loudly behind them, a click of a tongue he knew all too well. This was no where a Knights, Bishop or Queen could get their word in, this wasn’t their place to interrupt.
In the back of his mind, something was screaming at him that this was wrong. Tsukasa knew that this wasn’t the ideal outcome. And judging by the protests coming from his fellow unit mates behind him, it wasn’t their wishes either. But there was simply no way he could allow this to simply pass.
Tsukasa had head the praise being spoken about their leader. Their king. And the young boy had done absolutely nothing but idolize the amazing person who were responsible for the very unit that had brought him to the school. But being faced with a person, willing to throw everything he held dear, away on a a whim. It was something he simply couldn’t risk it.
“I cannot allow you to put something so dear to me in danger” In truth, Tsukasa was very much still a newbie. He was still but a child, unaware of what kind of cruel world he were venturing into. And maybe this wasn’t his decision to make, but he were the one with the crown today. They had chosen him as king, even if his crown were still just a makeshift one. But he would not allow Leo to have the means to drive them into ruin.
“Stay as you must. Your songs are a core part of our unit, write however much you can. I’ve been you being plenty capable. But you are now to have any say in decisions. You hold no power over Knights. You have lost your right to speak.”
Holding a hand up to easily silence any further protests from the people behind him. He held an incredible amount of power in this very moment. The shadow that settled across his eyes, entirely contradicted the smile that was stretching across his lips. How easily a simple Rook had turned to be a tyrant King were terrifying.
“I think such an arrangement would benefit us all. Truly marvelous right?”
