The first edition of dust, a zine dedicated to His Dark Materials,’ concept of dust, and other imagery populating Philip Pullman’s trilogy, is finally out!

It contains poetry pieces, short fiction, and visual art from our 13 contributors.

Hey folks! The deadline has passed, but we received many lovely submissions. Thanks to all of you for participating and for spreading the word!

We’re currently in the process of organising them to be published online. If there’s enough demand, we will also be printing them arranged as an A5 black and white booklet. We’d be selling them through etsy, and they would cost around 4€ (which is the cost of printing them + shipping). Please, send us a message to let us know if you’d be interested in purchasing them!

in anticipation for the upcoming tv series, @dustzine​ is creating a zine centered around the concept of Dust and other imagery used in Phillip Pullman’s His Dark Materials series. the zine will include fanworks like writing, art, and whatever else folks would like to share about their experience with the series and how it has touched them. here are the details. you have until August 15 to submit any works. it looks like a really cool project, so check them out and spread the word if you’re interested in contributing!

I’m super excited to help signal boost what sounds like a fantastic zine project for His Dark Materials! Our community is small and spread out on tumblr, but through many fanworks we have been able to come together and that makes me so happy to see, since HDM is my favourite series of books. I feel as though the announcement of a HDM TV series has excited all of us and renewed our passion for these books. 

This zine project sounds pretty cool and will give us a chance to come together even more, I think. No matter what you can do (poetry, fiction, illustrations or photography etc etc) your contribution would be welcomed. Please have a look and spread the word!
