The avant garde sound and musings from Phyllis Josefine better known as dvdv always have kept us on our toes. The esoteric melodies and ambiances of their sonic performance are undoubtedly in their own lane. Definitely keep a close eye here.
"Only fear (of fear) can hold me back" The more I work on music, the more I realize how much I love song-writing and playing with phrases and melodies. Old tracks often connect to an old thought process of what I moved on from or keep going through. Songs help me reflect and go through those moments in time and help me not forget them. I made this song together with amazing producer and friend @edythmusic aka @stgoldplates ❤️. We finished the track together, while being stuck in a lockdown in Kuwait. This track is part of the @kalibrplus compilation 'Pipeline', released a few months ago. Holding myself back from fearing fear won't help me move forward. "I stay here" is not a location, but the place in my heart that keeps me and my closest ones in a safe space. A place where I keep promises and stay to the things I articulate. Fear is a beautiful part of me and you. Look behind of what scares you, it is sometimes a gate to something way more beautiful. I was so inspired by this term (Sonoluminescence) and then I looked its meaning up, which got me even more excited. "Sonoluminescence is the emission of short burtsts of light from imploding bubbles in a liquid when excited by sound." ✨🥺 I was trying to sense and imagine, how that would feel like and composed this strange vibe and rhythm. In 2019 I restructured this track, while again differently imagining it. Okay, that is about it.
