Rama (राम) during his exile

In the Ramayana,Rama is described as having a more toned physique,so i imagine that the features of his face would be softer in contrast to that.

The eye design is actually inspired by Kathakali makeup,lol

His hair is very matted during his time in exile.

I just want to tell you that you’re genuinely one of the kindest people I know, and I’d choose you every single time. even in a zombie apocalypse, if I turned into a zombie, you’d still be my first choice to eat

As a religious person myself,I do believe that you should criticize religious texts, especially if that religious text promotes something that would be problematic in today's times, that's how we can progress as a society BUT what I do wish for is that people look at religion through a multifaceted lens instead of just straight up insulting the text. Like,there is a difference between saying "The Mahabharata contains a lot of misogyny, however it also contains verses that could be counted as empowering towards a woman as it is a text that has been altered throughout centuries" And saying "The Mahabharata is literally misogyny the epic"

I get where you may come from,but this shows a shallow understanding,and anyone who doesn't agree with you will just block you rather than have a civil conversation due to the way it sounds.

Religious texts are often highly interpolated and dependent upon the time they were written and it's only natural that some of the things written in those texts will not be apt for today's times,and it's important to look at these topics through the lens of the historical culture in which they were written and how certain questionable verses are often interpreted.

This goes for all religious texts btw.

Any stupid fuck that thinks worshipping goddesses automatically means you respect women is just a big brainless dumbass.

There are countless examples in real life and myths how even after worshipping goddesses a person was vwry capable of commitment horrible acts against women and be misogynist as fuck

The most popular example is obviously Ravan. His family worshipped a devi but that didn't stop him from a rapist or abductor of women, neither did it stop his family from supporting him.

Another example is Brihaspati, even after being such a revered rishi and lord of a planet it did not stop him from raping his sister-in-law or cursing her unborn child.

There are countless examples of humans — or rather men — in all eras of histories who have worshipped goddesses, and had committed crimes likes sati, rape, violence, murder against women.

There are countless examples of men like this like Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Savarkar etc etc

So whoever says Hindu men used to respect women because they worship goddesses. No. Not everyone. Misogyny and Patriarchy CAN and DOES co exist with female diety centric worships and rituals.

This hurts Hinduism more than hinduphobes hurt Hinduism. Y'all are just being ignorant to think society was better because worship was better.

Athens is a great example of this. Even while the city's patron goddess was Athena, Athens was one of the most rigidly patriarchal and misogynistic cities in Greece.

Saying ohh this that king was a great feminist cause he respected women and worshipped goddesses. Yes good for the king and hia subjects, but it still doesn't explain why his subjects couldn't have been misogynistic, or why he had to ESPECIALLY be known as women respecting king if treating women like goddesses was the norm.

Hypocrisy is the language of people's actions. They say something completely different and do something completely different.
