It’s been a year since celestial phenomena broke loose after the first Papal Resignation in 600 years. First, lightning struck the Vatican in the wake of infighting within the Curia regarding fiduciary malfeasance and sexual improprieties. Then, as the College of Cardinals prepared to convene to choose a new Pontiff, they were reminded that they were all mortal when Italy's Mt. Etna exploded. I love my God for that. Viva Pope Francis.
