'Mind tower'

Journey of a line.

I stuck a piece of thread on different surfaces and drew every shape that the line touched. The idea was to look down closely on small areas and take in all the detail.

Reflective journal.

It's where I write down all of my ideas and evaluations of my work, as well as all of my research. I also document trips and events that have inspired me in some way.  The image above shows my animation research and first attempt at doing it myself. The last image shows generation of ideas in a forest for the next part of my Journey project.

Journey of maps. I made a 3D map using several layers of thick card and mounted it and the off-cuts on a sheet of balsa wood.

2nd image is a close up of the map.

'Ancient treasures'. I created the drawings in the top image by fusing pieces of junk metal together, which I then labeled using the pigpen cipher. This was an exercise to improve close observation and illustration skills. The bottom image was created in photoshop using some of the treasures. It links in with my memory collection and I'm planning on adding colour to it using ink.
