my favorite and most rarest of rarepairs is StaticElectricity because my best friend who flirts with me often and is obsessed with me is Looey and i'm Vee (aka those are our favorite characters) which is a pretty funny origin for getting into a ship but lowkey i do see genuine potential with them!!
Vee immediately follows up her blunt refusal to Looey's offer to come see his circus act to elaborate that it's because she's busy, softening the blow after Looey is visibly hurt by her initial response, AND SHE EVEN SAYS "MAYBE ANOTHER TIME"!!! SHE WANTS TO SEE THEIR CIRCUS ACTS GUYS TRUST ME I'M HER I WOULD KNOW. but genuinely, she really doesn't do that for like. anyone else. and that's really fascinating to me
beyond that, not really anymore canon stuff between them to go off of, until they hopefully get a second interaction during either of their toon of the week events please qwel please qwel please qwel pleasepleasepleasepleaseple
however! there's still quite a bit to dig into regarding their individual characters, aka i'm just yapping about the potential they have that isn't utilized in canon yet. starting with the things they have in common, they're both performers!! rather different genres of performers, but both performers nonetheless! and they go about it very differently, which is fun from a shipping standpoint, because now they get to influence each other >:D maybe Vee's sheer confidence and complete lack of apprehension for taking center stage even when she looks a little silly (Vee-ster Bunny) could inspire Looey to have more confidence in themself and help them rebuild their self-esteem because oh my god my guy-they needs it !! and maybe Looey could show Vee that it's not all bad if she isn't in the spotlight so much, that she doesn't have to push herself so hard in an effort to be seen as better than Dandy. Maybe Looey used to be treated as a much bigger deal back when he still accepted the role of the circus troupe's leader, or at least felt like he was. He could reach out to the part of Vee that wants to be treated like a normal toon, and through his experience, she might find that she doesn't have to surpass Dandy in order for her existence to be justified. they can both give each other a little more peace in their life.
...but, it would take a bit to get there because the other major thing these guys have in common is their insistence on deflecting their problems. this would normally be a huge roadblock in their relationship, but luckily for us, Looey isn't quite the emotional repression champion heading for the Deflection Super Bowl that Vee is. like they're definitely not an open book at all in that regard but they've been shown to be just a bit willing to open up as seen in their interaction with Rodger, even if they end up backing out almost immediately, but that's still more vulnerability than Vee has probably ever even considered since the VV2 bomb dropped! and i think that if Looey opened up first, it could help bring down Vee's walls a bit too. like, after they get to know each other a little better and have bonded more properly, i'm sure she'd eventually ask him about why he abandoned his role as the circus troupe's leader, and with some reluctance and maybe a bit of downplaying, he'd tell her about his insecurities. "I bet that's pretty hard for you to empathize with, though. You have more confidence in yourself than anyone else here!" and, yeah, he's right, Vee can't really understand. she's always dealt with her insecurities by putting herself in the spotlight, since that's the role she was made to fulfill, and if she fulfills her role perfectly, if she is perfect, she doesn't have to be upgraded. but Looey did the opposite. and maybe, for just a split second, she feels envious towards them, towards how easily they freed themself of the weight they were carrying, even if only a little. she wouldn't open up immediately, maybe make some reference to her own struggles that's vague enough that it could slip by, just to test the waters with the least consequences possible, but no big display of vulnerability yet. it would still take a lot for Looey to prove himself as a person she can fully trust, but once they reach that point, they can blossom together. it would be so incredibly difficult to get there, but it would be beautiful.
i could say a lot more but those last points were really long because i fear i am the yapper. would you believe me if i told you that this wasn't even the Dandy's World ship i'm the most passionate about. bUT ONE LAST THING!!! THEY HAVE MATCHING SKINS TOGETHER!!! t. technically. Blot, Yatta, and R&D are also there but um. they're. uh. they're there for moral support /silly
ANYWAYS SINCE I SAID ALLAT IT'S PROBABLY ONLY RIGHT TO PROMPT YOU TO TALK SO GO AHEAD 🎤 THE MIC IS YOURS!!!!!!!!!!
I SEE EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN HERE AND LIKE. They’re opposites in a way yk, like. IN MULTIPLE WAYS
Looey is THE CIRCUS! A very old form of entertainment indeed! Do kids even LIKE circuses?! But they have friends and are PASSIONATE about their work.
Vee is TV!!!!! She’s modern she’s fancy she’s got ALL EYES ON HER! Does she LIKE that? MAYBE???? She definitely enjoys attention, but is she really in it for the love of the game, of TV itself? I dunnoooo
Also Looey consistently puts others ahead of himself and has like zero self worth and Vee (although her self-esteem is also very clearly low) copes in a COMPLETELY different way by acting like she’s the best and ignoring her own faults as hard as possible.
