Branch is secretly a huge swiftie. In public he rolls his eyes and complains when anyone else sings Taylor Swift songs, but really ALLLLLL the sappy romantic and/or emotional ones really strike a cord with him. Even the ones that aren't like that grow on him. He finds himself singing Taylor Swift songs in the shower or around his bunker a LOT. One day Poppy catches him dancing around his bedroom singing along to Shake It Off. He is VIOLENTLY EMBARRASSED and does NOT want ANYONE else to know EVER

Cloud Guy's started giving Poppy some of those habits Branch hates so much. For example, she's started calling him ironic names, such as, "Smily face", "Rad dad", "Laid-back surfer", "Mr Sunny-with-a-chance-of-sarcasm"... And the list goes on and on.

I had a headcanon a while ago about what would happen if poppy and branch were on a plane (just pretend they had planes) Poppy would be enjoying every second of it but I think branch would be the scared one wrapped in a blanket, curled on his seat and waiting for it to be over This is just a thought of mine :)

Branch could list all the potential negative events from riding a plane.The engine could explode, the pilot could lose conciseness leading the plan to crash and burn, there are screaming children, the flight attendant might say they ran out of animal crackers, the list goes on.

Branch gets nightmares?

Everyone gets nightmares, but Branch seems to get them most often. Grey Branch would wake up frantic, gasping for air as he looks around. He’s alone. Holding himself he would cry until the sun rose in the morning.Colored Branch would start off the same, then Poppy would wake up as her ears twitched. Something was wrong. She’d be at Branch’s house in less than 30 seconds. When branch opens the door, his eyes are typically red and puffy. She already knows what happened. The rest of the night is spent with Poppy holding Branch in her arms as she tried to calm him down. Typically, they end up falling asleep on each other, but the warmness in their hearts remained as the night goes on. Everything will be okay.

about the headcanon you did a while ago of branch hating needles. After he's had the shot in his butt does poppy calm him down and try to distract him from the pain?

Yeah! She gets him ice cream and they read stories, pretty much anything he likes to help ease the thought of it

Little head Canon of mine: we know from the party montage that Branch had little episodes where he probably SWORE he had seen a bergen, and honestly i think it's a good split between Branch purely imagining or letting his fear get the better of him, and at least a few occasions over the years of Branch ACTUALLY SEEING a bergen (chef) in the woods. She was barely a few miles from them. What are the chances branch heard or saw her in the distance and was right about it being a bergen??

I like to think, sorry if this has been asked before, that Grandma Rosiepuff told Branch how to walz.

I would think so. I think grandparents are always wanting to see their grandchildren to dance. I don’t think she intended on teaching him though. Meaning, she probably just liked to dance with him with Branch standing on her feet as she would waltz around the room. It wasn’t like,

“Branch, it’s time I teach you how to waltz.” That would be kinda odd. Especially if he’s only about 5 when she died.

Wait wait wait so does Branch get scared or freaks out when there’s to much noise? How does he react?

He gets overwhelmed but tries his best to ignore it, hoping it’ll be something he grows out of. But it eventually becomes too much and needs to leave real bad. That’s why he tries to stay away from parties and concerts, even when he gets his colors back. He is however fine when it comes to him singing with a group. It might be a psychological thing, but he feels a lot more comfortable when if he is gonna be in a loud place, there’s someone with him.

Does Poppy know that Branch’s ears are really sensitive? Is she aware that to much noise irritates him?

She doesn’t find out until he actually comes to one of her parties. Everyone was having a good time until out of the blue he comes over to Poppy, almost in tears, asking if she would be alright if he left. It would kinda be the same process in helping him calm down as if he was having a panic attack.

I think that Trolls calculate hours (normal hours) through hug time. Like "Ok, so hug time was 13 minutes ago, which means that we have... 2 hours, 42 minutes & 19 seconds until the party starts." In my opinion, it could also mean that Branch is a little rusty at this. Not like he's incapable but, you know, he's not as quick at it as his fellow trolls.

Random question: do you think that Branch is either scared or intimidated by Peppy? Y’know because of Poppy being his crush and all and Peppy is just trying to be a protective dad?

I think nervous would be a better term. Peppy doesn’t really strike me as “overprotective” due to the fact that even though he didn’t really want her going out to save her friends, it really didn’t take much to let her go. However, he’s still her father, and I think what would make Branch nervous is that what if he didn’t think he was right for his daughter? What if he thought he needed a little more sunshine in his life before he could be with her? What if he didn’t like him?Usually Branch wouldn’t care if anyone liked him or not. But Peppy, Peppy is the only person he believes he has to impress to make or break their relationship. That’s what would make him nervous.
