This was such an emotional competition 😭

So proud of Tessa and Scott; they thoroughly deserved the gold medal, their free dance was insanely good.

But disappointed for Gabriella and Guillaume... they did everything they could, but even breaking their own world record in the free dance wasn't enough. Who knows what could have happened was it not for their wardrobe malfunction yesterday..

I also feel devastated for Maddie and Evan.. the two of them crying at the end of the routine absolutely broke my heart.. it's such a beautiful routine too and there'll always be a what if for them which is just incredibly unfortunate and really really sad😥 I was rooting for them and I really thought they could make up some ground on this dance💔 they will come back even stronger at world's though

And finally I wish Penny and Nick could have finished in the top 10.. they performed beautifully today and I wish their scores could have been just a little higher. after everything they've been through, to come back and skate as well as they did, I thought it deserved more.

Anyway I'm very glad I sacrificed a night of sleep for this... should be able to get 3 hours in before I have to wake up again lol

My favorite thing about these international competitions (not just the Olympics but Grand Prix, Four Continents, Worlds, etc) is watching the figure skaters interact with each other. While all of them are competitors with each other, many of them are friends with each other and it warms my heart to see them wholeheartedly support and cheer each other on <3
