i regret to inform you, i just found out the world DOESN'T revovle around me. i am SHOCKED and upset. i'm also not drunk enough for this. life's too short.
his luggage ( along with the shirt he figured heโd not have to wear anymore until leaving the show again ) had carelessly been thrown into his hotel room, left behind as brand took an immediate turn for paradiseโs outside bar. the only possible way to celebrate his arrival was with a few drinksย โโ which needless to say, would be an utter shame to drink alone. brandโs eyes wandered along the pool, soon spotting some other contestant who looked interesting enough. without a hint of hesitation, he approached them and sat down across from them.ย โ YOU and i are going to play a little INTRODUCTIONAIRY GAME,ย โ he announced in his best golden announcer voice and already set three to the brim filled shot-glasses in front of the stranger. a wide mischievous smile spread over his lips and he gestured towards the drinks.ย โ have a guess !! tell me what each one of them is. extra points if you can guess them in the right order.ย โ first brandy, then jack daniels and for a smooth ending captain morgan. obviously.

QUICK OOC NOTE:ย first of, hello !! i caved into having a second character and even thought of a male fc after three years of my mind blanking. everything worth knowing about him is down below, BUT iโve to mentionย his blog is a sideblog. makes it easier to handle for me. if i send date cards out wiwth him, theyโll clearly be labelled as such, so thereโs no confusion happening whether itโs from jamie or brand. that, i believe, is it for now.

+ his life startedย as a mistake. brand had never been wanted, never expected and for the first few months of his motherโs pregnancy not even noticed. his mother never told him whether sheโd have aborted if she still had had the chance, but despite the unconditional love he received for his entire life, heโs pretty convinced sheโd have. he wasnโt planned and to put it straight, she had slept with too many guys and drunken too man drinks around the time sheโd gotten pregnant, it was impossible to pick a father. instead, sheโd to handle the annoying little boy all on her own.ย
+ his childhood was spend in a small two-room flat. the lack of room never bothered him, instead forced him and his mother to bond, which in retrospect was the best thing which could happen. he loves her with all his heart, knows sheโll always be there for him and viceversa. with her around, he never began to miss or wish for a father figure. he had a ridiculously happy childhood.
+ adolescence was when things started to change for brand. his mother always had struggled with alcoholism, but having a hyper-energetic toddler to take care of 24/7 sheโd been to invested in brand to even think of going back to the bottle. however, as brand left five days a week for several hours ( sometimes even longer, when he went out with friends ) she slowly but surely started slipping back into her initial problems. once he realised, brand decided to ditch all his friends and soon his grades fell while he spend every free minute taking care of his mom. it took him a while to find a healthย mediocrity, but eventually he did, learned how to busy his mother and get his own life under control as well.
+ so, his first experience with alcohol wasnโt exactly a good one as he watched his mother struggle with it. he promised himself to never have a single drink, but soon his friends started going on parties, dragging him along and heโd always be the driver, taking care of all his drunk friends. he grew frustrated ( as he easily did, being a rather dramatic person ) and in response, his friends made him have a few drinks. he got drunk, waking up in his friendโs house curled up next to their dog and with absolutely no memories how he got there.ย
+ his downfall happened soon after. he was rushed to the emergency room after having crushed his knee while practice. heโd been so into the role of tarzan, jumping off a wine a little too theatrically and hitting the floor in the least compromising position. he was stuck in bed for weeks, bound to the wheel chair immediately after and had to watch the utterly untalented understudy taking his place. brand had never been so angry in his life, and as a consequence, he used the unlimited supply of champagne to knock himself out on the aftershow-party. he forgot the show, forgot the pain in his knees and the future he would never have in the theatre business.
+ the dating show is brandโs way of coping with everything. his leg is a little stiff still, but he can walk without a crane, even swim and dance for a good amount of time before he has to sit down and rest his leg. he wants the fame he could have and without a doubt would have gotten if heโd been able to stay in the theatre business. he hasnโt even decided yet whether he believes in love.ย

+ brand jackson margon is his full name, although he rarely mentions his middle-name ( unless he wants to point out his initials say bj and you know, *wink wink* ) or is close to a bar. not exactly having prepared a name for her child, his mother literally named him after alcohol.
+ his time in high school was shaped mainly by his theatre career. he was good at always jumping into different roles, never once being satisfied by being just himself. plus, heโs such a dramatic person, he loved speaking shakespearian and basically romeoโs role is still his favorite he ever played. the role of tarzan was his start into the professional wold, but his body clearly failed him.
