I feel like one of the issues you might have with Hades is that we, your audience/followers, don't get much into him and feel his significance because you yourself don't often show it. Quite often you emphasise Persephone over him when you do get into the mythology of it and even in a lot of your threads, so then it's tough to get engaged with a character when you, the writer, don't appear to be particularly interested.

Good point, anon! Like, on one hand, my first thought is: “but you can’t have hades without persephone”
then I think about my sigyn, and the fact is that while I recognize her marriage and connection to Loki, I often refuse to play her as NEEDING him to be important to her own.. ministry or whatever.
So yeah, excellent point really. Granted, I have to consider a lot of Persephone in threads because Hades, imo, is married in a more stable manner. He isn’t like Zeus who was more all over the place despite his marriage to Hera. He only had like, the one other love and that didn’t last very long at all. My thing with Demeter, too, is completely my own fictional take and not really based on anything found in actual myth.
So where as Zeus or whoever is like “i don’t care what hera thinks imma do the thing”
hades is very much like “no i have to check on persephone first bc she is my equal in every way” which, imo, is very true even in later myths and as seen in historical context in how the pair were received or spoken of if at all.
Lol, there is a high possibility I’m not nearly as good at this muse as I had thought, though! These are good things to know, though. Like little wake up calls I’ve been asking for if they were being unsaid, so I appreciate you being willing to say it!
