fossil record - the age of aluminium by marc quinn, 2015, embossed chine-collé print with silver foil, 675 x 1010 millimeters
just saw a sunflower in an urban garden that was so big i had to look up to see the top of it. stem the thickness of my forearm. they had it tied to an electrical pole with a length of twine to keep it balanced. leaves like TWO dinner plates, ten or more alternating pairs, jack and the beanstalk type shit, no sign of stopping. a tree is a somewhat ambiguous growth form botanically speaking and that IS a tree to me
i see her in everything @tankhall 🎼➿➿
I love watching someone I follow specifically for being a pretentious well-read opinionated hater fall head over ass into an incredibly smooth-brained and mid media property. I’m being dead serious I genuinely love it. Reminds us to stay humble. All the essays in the world cannot save you from becoming singlemindedly obsessed with something that’s just kind of dumb.

truly the idea of "this scene is (un-)necessary to the story" is such a fundamentally uncurious and anti-art way of engaging with fiction. the story itself is unnecessary, in the sense that all art is unnecessary, because art is not a fucking optimization problem. that's the beauty of it
idk i would personally rather give up access to certain products seasonally or locally than have people enslaved to give me the ability to have any product any place any time. i think i can go without tomatoes in january.
i truly do think that most people if confronted with it and pressed on it would agree. but it's comfortable to gain privileges from someone else's suffering, especially if you don't have to see that suffering directly.
"Can the absence of words tell a story? Like a pattern in lace, the holes as important as the threads?"
Eden Robins, Remember You Will Die
now i don’t know enough about omegaverse to say anything definitively but from what i have seen it certainly looks like it emulates insects much more than wolves.
like if you’re looking for an animal with strictly defined castes and extensive use of pheromones you are looking for ants i think
