I've never had a story be called pretty before! that's so sweet of you! And do not worry, Sevika is on my mind 24/7 so you'll be seeing so much of her
I happy to read you will make a part2 of gentle on my mind. I have a great time reading
ใ
I'm so glad you liked it! I love writing cowboys and things akin to that, so if that becomes a running theme in my writing, you know why. I have lots of things in mind!
Gentle on my mind was so amazing. The atmosphere and tension you built was so beautifully done. If you ever wanted to I hope you do a part two, it was so good
This was so sweet to read, thank you! I love building tension and atmosphere so I'm very pleased it translate well to readers :3 I have a million and one thoughts about country sevika so I definitely intend to expand upon it!
Gentle on My Mind
Pairing: Ranch-hand!Sevilla x Fem!Reader
Synopsis: You and a certain hand from your father's ranch get cozy under the hood of her Toyota.
Content Warning! Implied age gap, but reader is an adult. Suggestive tension but nothing that crazy. Country Sevika makes me feel insane, I love her so much.

Itโs knowinโ that your door is always openโฆ
And your path is clear to walkโฆ
A pleasant afternoon spent in town had quickly turned into you and Sevika ducking from a storm that came out of nowhere and crashed down heavy on the roof of her beat up Toyota.
Neither one of you noticed you neglected to pick up the hydraulic fluid youโd been tasked with getting.
After making it back to the ranch, the two of you had decided to wait out the rain until it settled. Sevikaโs truck was just enough of a piece of shit to run the risk of getting caught in the mud if she tried running the steep hill that made up your driveway. And she refused to let you try and make it on foot.
Youโd always take an excuse to hang around the rugged ranch hand just a little longer. Not that youโd ever tell her so.
Not like sheโd ever call you out on it despite knowing anyway.
Even when the rain had slowed down and neither one of you made any move to leave the comfortable atmosphere youโd formed against the worn leather bench.
Sevika was reclined on the driverโs side, the rim of her hat tipped low on her head. Just enough to cover her eyes but still having room to take a long drag of the cigarette she was holding in her prosthetic hand. The window was down just enough to let the smoke outside without letting in much of the rain.
โWhat song is this?โ You asked, leaning forward to fiddle with the volume knobs on her radio. โSome old shit from the 90s again?โ
You could hear her snort under her breath, smoke billowing from her nostrils as she stretched one thick arm behind her head.
You watched the movement, admiring how her bicep flexed with the new angle. She was always doing that. Subtly flexing and showing off when you were around in a way that you were convinced was intentional.
โSmartass.โ
and if I said there was a ranch hand sevika fic in my drafts...
A Knight's Tale
Synopsis: After exhausting your father's choices of personal guards, he has allowed you to chose your replacement. What began as a tedious affair turns into something worth paying attention to when you notice the mysterious knight from a land you don't recognize.
Pairing: Knight!Sevika x Princess!Reader
Word Count: 1.9k
It seemed the Gods were determined to toy with you today.
There had never been such a fine morning, a soft breeze rustled the leaves on the trees and the sun shone brightly in the sky. You should've been riding through the forests, hiding from your ladies in waiting and dodging your mother's scolding when you came back smelling of pine trees and your hem covered in mud.ย
But instead, you were stuck sitting in the courtyard with dozens or so knights lined in front of you, trying to look as though you cared even a fraction for the entire affair. You had gotten your last guard sacked after he failed to realize you had snuck out of the castle grounds and into the dark of night. A similar fate had fallen the man before him. And the one before that.
Now, having driven your father to his wits end (and whittling down half of his own chosen guards) was now insisting upon you making the choice of the new replacement yourself. He had told you that perhaps it would compel you to have a little mercy on the poor sop who landed the job next.
But you had your suspicions that it was a punishment in disguise after having been sat here for the past hour. You had tuned out the Herald who was announcing the men one by one.ย
Each surname of some primped a lord youโd only ever seen in passing becoming more and more pretentious by the minute. And Captain Cecil, Commander of the Kingsguard, stood next to you. He was the only one who could ever keep a proper eye on you, even when you were a young girl trying to slip away from the feasting halls.ย
โSir Garrick, Third-born son of House Trelain.โ
You didnโt even bother with a sideways glance at the man, and he hardly noticed. Too busy making sure the dark blue sash on his shoulder was perfectly situated over the polished silver that made up his armor.ย
If you werenโt woefully aware of the purpose of today, youโd assume some grand tourney was taking place. All flashy regalia and the most elaborate of weapons that, even with your limited knowledge, looked more fashionable than effective in cutting down enemies.ย
You slipped your hand over your lips to disguise the yawn that escaped you, your cheek pressing into your hand as you leaned back against the smooth stone. Your gaze moved lazily over the rows of men before you looked well into the back rows, spotting someone who you swore hadnโt been there just a moment ago.
The knight appeared taller than every other man there. Standing so still you wonder if you've simply forgotten a statue that had been added to the decor recently. It's one faint twitch of a broad, gloved hand on the hilt of their sword that tells you the form is made of flesh and blood.
Your expression remained neutral, but your eyes lingered upon the unusual knight now. They bore no crest upon their chest. Nor did they seem to be dawned in any house colors or regalia. As if calling you into the mystery, the knight also remains the only one who keeps their helm upon their head. Denying you even the faintest hint to their identity.
The Herald was still rhapsodizing about the second son of Lord Who-Particularly-Cared when your curiosity could no longer be contained.ย
You turned to Cecil, beckoning him to lean down so you could speak discreetly into his ear, your gaze still vaguely regarding the rows of men.
โWho's that one?โ You asked with a nod of your head vaguely in the direction of the looming knight.ย
โSer Sevika of Zaun, my lady.โ He answered, draped one arm over the back of your chair as he realized who you were speaking of. โI knew an invitation had been extended to Zaun. But I must say I am surprised they sent anyone at all.โ
โZaun?โ You echoed, the confusion clear in your tone. Lengths of scrolls and endless stretches of maps flashed through your mind. But nothing in your knowledge of neighboring lands and kingdoms revealed such a name to you. โWhy don't I recognize it?โ
