Noor fiddled with her keys as she waited. She was completely lost in her thoughts, already thinking about the next day and what she needed to get done before hitting the hay, so it took her a moment to realize the words had actually been addressed to her. “Oh, right. I usually take the veggie burger. It’s pretty nice.” The place wasn’t her all time favorite by any means but the food was decent and conveniently located. “Your first time here?” 

“I probably should be getting the veggie burger. My trainer would be proud. Although, that bacon cheeseburger looks amazing. I might just get that with an iced tea and fries.” She looked over at the woman. “Yeah, it is. I keep passing by here and never come in so I figured I would today. Whats your name?”

Dylan walked into the surprisingly busy burger spot after having to edit all day for the following upload schedule on her YouTube channel. She was starving, having forgotten to stop to eat. She was ravenous as she looked over the menu, deciding on what she wanted. She was going between the bacon cheeseburger and fries and the chilly fries and a coke. She couldn't decide. She looked over at the person next to her. “So what are you going to get? I’m so hungry that I can’t decide.”

“Take a picture, why don’t you? It’ll last longer.” 

  Even if it was just an innocent stare, it burned in the back of Ari’s head every time his gut told him that there was someone peering his way. It was an old instinct that didn’t take to leaving; in bad crowds every eye was an enemy. He had been minding his business; loitering in a relatively quiet stop-n-shop in hopes that the courier would bring him the details of his next fight when his so-called ‘spidey sense’ had started tingling and lo and behold; his eyes met the ones of someone who failed to avert their insistent glare in time. Was the gaze malicious or curious? It was always hard to tell with people nowadays. God forbid if he became the next ‘alex from target’. “Can I help you, or are you just going to keep staring?”

“Greetings, Earthlings and welcome to another day of vlogging! I’ve been busy editing a new docu-series for me and my mom and how I grew up and I promise it should be up within the next few days. I’m just taking a little more time to work on it.” She walked down the dairy aisle of the little bodega she was in, putting snacks and things in her cart as she spoke into her trusty Nikon. She hadn't done a daily vlog for a bit and she knew her subscribers were itching for one. As she backed down the next aisle and spun around, she stopped recording, seeing the other person. She was a little stunned because one, he was gorgeous. And two, vlogging in public always got her stares. She stammered over her words and then went in for an apology. “Oh, um... sorry. I was shooting something. I didn’t expect anyone to be in the aisle at this time. Sorry.” She sighed, embarrassed.

She couldn’t outright pinpoint how long she’d been exercising around the park - far as she could tell, the formerly burnished atmosphere had turned dark and even colder than it had been a long while ago which meant the evening was about to fully chew on her ass. Heather had no intentions of returning home yet, though, knowing her sister was gone for the night and the silence would only muck up her head. Instead her feet stomped harder, spattered soil all over her shoes and the rims of her pants - she ignored the locks of hair plastered around her jawline and glanced aside, suddenly addressing the nearest person next to her. “Hey, I know it’s getting really late but,” she gnawed the inside of her cheek, “wanna have a quick jog around?” 

Dylan had come to the park to do some late night jogging. The one by her was pretty well lit and there were always people there after dark. Plus, the chilly air would do well when she began breaking a sweat. Of course, she still wore her thick, workout jacket, doubled up on leggings and socks, and topped it off with a beanie. She looked up at the other woman as she stretched her muscles, prepping for exactly what she offered. “Oh! Sure, why not? It’s probably smarter to jog with someone else.” She finished stretching and stepped toward her. “I’m Dylan. It’s nice to meet you.”
