@dylan-sykes
Please donât say that.
I already did.
"Hm.." She looked all the pastries, trying to decide. "Thereâs so many good choices..but I think Iâll just go with that eclair." Eclairs were always her favorite and itâs been a while since sheâs had one. Plus, she thought this one was decorated all pretty like. "What are you getting?"
"Well, then, an eclaire for the lady and one of those for me please." Dylan pointed towards the pastry behind the glass as he the girl behind the counter asked them what they wanted.
Thatâs the sad part, I didnât even get one drink.
Then I'm sure you don't hate him as much as you said you do.
Trust me it was.
How drunk were you exactly?
Well I got in a fight with some random girl over someone I donât even like.
Well, that sounds fucked up.

"Oh, it will only be this one time anyway. Thank you very much." She tried to sound tough but failed. Once he opened the door, she didnât hesitate to walk inside. Take Bailey to any food place and she really was like a kid in a candy store. "I hope it tastes as good as it smells or I will be very disappointed."
Looking at the different pastries behind the counter, Dylan seemed to have a hard time picking one. Though, his eyes landed on a round cake like pastry, with strawberries on top. "So, what would you like Bai?"
I did something really stupid.
And what might that be?
I canât believe that just happened.
What?
"We never speak of this. I wasnât defeated by you." She crossed her arms as she was put down. Her face instantly lit up, as she saw the pastry shop. "I can almost taste all the sugary goodness!"
"Alright, for this one time I won't." he chuckled, obviously amused by the little girl. Once they had reached the door, he held it open for her, waiting for her to go into the little shop. "It smells great in here."
What lie, youâre an absolute flirt!
I am yeah, not going to deny that. But I haven't used this one before.
She sighed. âFine.â Mumbling the rest of her words, âI take it back.â
"Good." He smiled triumphantly, putting her down. He could now see the pastry shop, and his smile grew as he got excited for the food. "Almost there!"
âPlease stay.â He mumbled against her hair, still holding on to her. Dylan was sure he wouldnât be able to get any sleep if she didnât stay and desperatly wanted to just lay down with her, to be able to hold her, to wake up the next morning, only to realize that she had stayed.
Annette bit her lip. âOkay.â
The corners of his lips twisted up slightly as she agreed to stay. "Thank you."
When she spoke, he just tightend his grip on her, desperate to keep her close. The tears were slowly stopping as he realised it was going to be alright. He nodded in response to her, but couldnât get himself to speak just yet.
She sighed again, reaching up to kiss him after a few seconds. âItâs late. I should probably be going back to my own dorm.â
"Please stay." He mumbled against her hair, still holding on to her. Dylan was sure he wouldn't be able to get any sleep if she didn't stay and desperatly wanted to just lay down with her, to be able to hold her, to wake up the next morning, only to realize that she had stayed.
When she pulled him into a hug, the tears didnât seem to fade. Though it was a silent crying, he felt almost ashamed of being such a mess in front of her, to be so vunerable. But he was glad she didnât leave. Wrapping his arms around her, he kept her close, shutting his eyes.
She knew he was crying, but she didnât know what to say. She was never one to cry or even to comfort someone who was crying, but this was her boyfriend. She had to do something. âEven if you fuck up again,â she whispered. âIâm not gonna leave you, okay?â
When she spoke, he just tightend his grip on her, desperate to keep her close. The tears were slowly stopping as he realised it was going to be alright. He nodded in response to her, but couldn't get himself to speak just yet.
âI, I canât.â He let his head fall down, tears stinging behind his eyes. âI just canât promise you.â How was he supposed to promise something he didnât think he would be able to. âBut please donât go, I need you Annette. As much as I fucking hate it, I just do.â The tears were not rolling over his cheeks, the pain evident in his voice. âI love you Annette, and it scares me, it fucking scares me. Because Iâm afraid Iâll fuck it up again and you deserve so much better than me.â
She watched as he finally said it, a small smile appearing on her face. She walked over to him, sitting down on his bed and putting her arms around his neck, pulling him into a hug. Annette buried her head in his chest, sighing. Even if he was so distraught at the moment, she honestly couldnâtâve been happier, though she was really showing it. What he had said were things she had never had said to her before.

He looked at her in disbelief, why would she want him? As much as he wanted to promiss her to stay, he knew he would probably fuck up again. âI can try. I mean, I want to try.â He held his lip between his teeth, not sure how to approach the situation.
She turned back around, shaking her head. âDylan, I-I⊠I canât have you just try. All Iâve been doing is trying and look where that got us. I need to know you arenât going to leave me. But if you canât promise me that then Iâm going to have to walk out this door and never come back.â
"I, I can't." He let his head fall down, tears stinging behind his eyes. "I just can't promise you." How was he supposed to promise something he didn't think he would be able to. "But please don't go, I need you Annette. As much as I fucking hate it, I just do." The tears were not rolling over his cheeks, the pain evident in his voice.
