The Beasts of Hogwarts art show was a very clever art showĀ created by The Beehive Society that took kid's imaginations to their full potential. I am honored to have been a part of this show in Winter 2016, and this is my contribution. You'll see little Gavin's original drawing of the monster, and my interpretation.
His name is "Tenticels" and he can be found eating humans with a side of sausages and ranch dressing in his dwelling 500 trillion miles above the ground. He also like to hang out with his kid. And of course, Tenticels is as big as a dragon, but smaller than two dragons. Prints are available online for a limited time. Hit me up, or follow the FB link above for more info.
Hereās some more Arrested Development content for your eyeholes. This was my contribution toĀ NO TOUCHING: an Arrested Development art show hosted by the lovely Beehive Society girls. The show was July 15th, 2016 at Heron Arts in San Francisco, CA.
With the game coming up this evening, I thought I'd make a GIF highlighting a peculiar coincidence in their logos. Or is it a coincidence? ;)
Thanks to my friendsĀ HaleyĀ and JayĀ for the idea!

Magic Box Machine http://ift.tt/1UEFbrE
Is the machine magical? Or is it a normal machine creating magical boxes? You decide. My post on dribbble for Thinkmojo, Inc.
My first ever dribbble shot! Chigity-check it!Ā

Some fun logos Iāve had a hand in designing. The animated one is an intro for anĀ animation reelĀ I put together for The Annex, a studio I worked at.
I animated a quick proof of concept for an unreleased video game. Animation done in Modo, effects and compositing in After Effects.

A goodbye card for a friend always on an adventure wherever she resides, whether it be her home in Oakland, California or her travels in India. Plus she has an adorable cat.
In print, a triangle was die cut from the front page so that the tent showed through on both the front and inside pages.

Happy Halloween everyone! Here is an animation I made as a tribute to the most inspiring master disguise in Orange County: Gene Parmesan, Private Detective.
Made with Adobe Illustrator + After Effects and whole lot of shape layers.Ā

Process:
The costume illustrations.
The test animation. Originally I wanted him to move up/down/left/right to reveal the costumes. I decided that limiting the movement from left to right kept things simple and much more satisfying. Even though itās a test, I think this animation can stand on itās own.
She knew it.
Some [ultimately abandoned] animated icons for an exciting project for Nest! Full project details soon to come!

I made this as a wedding gift for my cousin, NicoleĀ Mena, back in 2013. This was made in tandem with the 'NZā ambigram logo represented on the bottom which was used throughout Nicole and Zackās wedding. I also bought her an Ice Cream Maker, to assure she doesnāt grow up too much.Ā
