I think “I read this book so you don’t have to” should only be reserved for books like the mortal instruments and twilight or the weird smut books from TikTok. It is absolutely wild I am seeing someone post a video like this for a book by R.F. Kuang. Someone who is known for writing books that are deep and thought provoking. This is where I start to be like okay. So we are encouraging people to be anti intellectual.

Just finished playing Mole. Honestly it was pretty good. I think tho the story wasn’t as hard hitting as mouthwash.

I think the difference is basically how the characters are treated. Like the other crew members we never fully get to know them and so the emotion is less tangible towards what happens to them. And then I just fear we don’t get to know Viktor’s kid Petro at all other than like he wanted to be like his dad and grandfather and… that’s it. I think the gameplay tho was great for a story game. It somehow both simplified but also expanded the type of gameplay within Iron Lung in a nice way while keeping the story going. And I would like to explore the religious theming within the game a bit further bc the cosmic esque horror from it was so interesting.

Gonna drop a hot take but the problem w the casting of Carrie white throughout the years is not them not casting a girl who is overweight. It’s them not making whoever they cast into the ugly and hard to look at girl that Carrie white is supposed to be. Bc every director has been a coward bc they know it would be 10x harder to get an audience to sympathize with an ugly girl run ragged with religious trauma.

I was thinking the security tag being on a random page in a book was a hoax bc it hadn’t happened to me yet until now 😭. My sister and I both had security tags in our Green Yuri mangas we just bought and then there was one in the 25th anniversary Nana manga as well. Now I’m 😬 about the other regular books I bought bc those pages/print tends to be more fragile and the words would come right off if I’m not careful while peeling it 😩.

The concept that cats are lower maintenance is so damaging honestly. Watch most episodes of my cat from hell and literally so often the answer 9/10 times is simply play with your cat and enrich their life 💀.
