‘ are you telling me, a great white once thought you were a seal or something & knocked you over your board, not to attack you, but to just get a sniff ? look, i’m not saying you‘re lying, but that’s unlikely. ’ elliot mused, running a damp rag over the counter at the shop. ‘ no no, go on; enlighten me. ’ he said with a chuckle as he looked at the person behind his current costumer. ‘ sorry, how can i help you ? ’

       as much as nova enjoyed doing things by herself, which included learning new things, there were just some activities that were practically impossible to learn by herself. like surfing. so as she stood in line, her eyes seemed to look everywhere except at the person she needed to ask a particular question. it wasn’t until he actually spoke that nova gave a shrug of her shoulders. “ i can, uh, wait. feel free to finish listening to their story. ”

“classes are over for the day! unless you came for a personal session. that’ll cost you extra.” the blonde smiled over at the other and crouched down to mess around with the music on her iphone and she crossed her legs. “i haven’t actually seen you around in my other classes. did you just arrive here or are you just avoiding the whole fitness and meditation part of the island?” alanis teased and pursed her lips as she answered a few text messages she’d gotten while she was teaching her classes. her fingertips moved rapidly over the screen and she hummed softly. 

       “ i don’t really believe in going to classes that i can do in the comfort of my own home or on the beach. ” there’s a soft smile on nova’s face as she slowly nods her head to he words. most the time nova could’ve been found at the beach just relaxing with a book in her hand, but today she thought going & making an effort to talk to people wouldn’t be bad. “ --- do you guys sell yoga mats here ? or should i look elsewhere ? ”
