pretty sure I did the chrome//flags thing a while ago, but also i switched to firefox, which is not without the occasional bullshit, but is vastly less bullshitty than chrome. This is why I treat genai "features" like the invasive blackberry bushes they are: cut, root, burn, and vigilantly watch for new shoots to uproot. I'm 54 years old and the world got by fine without genai for most of my lifetime.

Looking at all the little details here

Three picture frames; one has a butterfly (might be a pinned specimen? Or just a photo idk) hung on the wall, a picture of a dog (looks to be a Rottweiler) near the calendar, and... something? Right next to the monitor. It's very hard to make out any details, but to me it looks like a humanoid figure standing in a hallway.

A post-it note is stuck to the bottom right of the monitor, there's clearly something written on it, but I sure as hell cant read it

Given that March 1st is on a Wednesday, this photo could have been "taken" in the years 1961, 1967, 1972, 1978, 1989, 1995, 2000, so on and so forth. (It is worth noting that in the console scene, the circus' creation date was said to be October 15th, 1996.) (A computer game for I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, made by Cyberdreams, was released in 1995... might be a coincidence, might be a clue or intentional reference?)

i've been thinking about what a Pokemon team for Erica would be for a while now, every now and then.

Kat’s recent post about her blorbo's Pokémon team finally enough to make me cave in and yap about what i think Erica’s Pokémon team would look like.

annihilape would be 1000% Erica's ace. that thing's whole shtick is that it is extremely angry, literally too enraged to die. Erica herself is based on the emotion/feeling of anger as well. i just. agghhhh it fits SO WELL. i would yap more about this but unfortunately my thoughts on this aren’t coherent enough. :,)

aegislash is a rather obvious pick because it's a sword. and it's a ghost-type sword too so it fits with Erica initially wielding a sword from a dead party member of hers. i like to think that in a Pokémon AU she definitely didn't obtain this thing through the most normal means.

mudsdale is here since, after all, it resembles Void. plus it's a strong buff horse and Erica would like strong buff horse. 🙂‍↕️

mandibuzz is a vulture Pokémon and i've always associated Erica with those a bit. i think one part of it's move set is very funny, doesn't heat wave remind you of a certain desert?

excavailer being on the team is for a reason, but not exactly for what you'd think. its gimmick is that you obtain it via trade evolution- and its armor that it uses to protect itself is actually stolen off another Pokémon. this, of course, matches Erica in that it too wasn't originally a warrior either.

chansey being on the team is the definition of "BRO THINK SHE'S PART OF THE SQUAD LMAOO 😭" although.. that kinda is the point? it resembles how Erica felt like she didn't fit in with any of the adventuring parties she used to travel with (and even how she contrasts the Season 1 cast,) being the normal and rational of the team and all that. and plus.. chansey is the healer Pokémon. so of course we give Erica the healer Pokémon. something something it's a remnant of her old life. also also this was inspired by a post Decimal made so i gotta give the shoutout for that! ^_^

the team is extremely attack-based, much like Erica. i probably should've added protect for one of those guys but whatever lol

(maybe in a Pokemon AU, she used to use the chansey a lot but now she keeps their placement on her team a total secret, only to be used as a last resort when everyone else is knocked out..? idk man i'm spitballing words now)
