I always promised myself that I wouldn't be a bitter person about other people's good fortune but look! it's happened.
Now off to put on a dress that doesn't fit and go be the only single person at a social/professional function. But its okay, there are plenty of people who will lie to me and tell me how good I look (I'm very overweight and very ugly), and how awesome it is that I've chosen to focus on my career over having a family (also, not really a choice.) And then I'll go home alone, just like I do every night and stay up late and work, just like I do every night, and get up tomorrow morning and try to make myself better, try to make myself a person that deserves to be loved and fail. Just like every day of my life.
