my heart breaks so incredibly much for seori because even her original present self is someone lost to this world. who knows how lonely she was and is still if she's there at all. danshim has been similarly lonely and fending for herself all her life. even now she's trying her best and doing so well in this unknown world after being fucking framed and killed. so even seori's new identity as danshim, which earned her more confidence and fighting instincts as well as love, is not enough. there's just something about her across time and space in a way that makes these selfish people unleash their bullshit on her.

they white truck of doomed us in 2026... my god. this got me screaming at the screen but also i love how it showed up first by almost hitting segye and then driving away like. every kdrama watcher would absolutely know immediately in that moment what that truck means and what's about to happen later. genuinely diabolical and i kind of love that when the "white truck of doom" has a reputation for being a lazy plot device. kang hyun joo said if you know you know and since you know you're all going to suffer ✌️✌️ if i were writing a kdrama i would absolutely pull the same bullshit on my audience ✌️✌️ i gave you lovey dovey moments and now you're going to sit here and pay the toll with pain and angst ✌️✌️ you are going to sit here and WATCH as danshim falls back to a world that stole her agency and segye's life is completely dismantled ✌️✌️ haha yay ✌️✌️
