Theyre going to send a team after Mamdani this is highkey insane
Who are “they”?
you completely missed the point but congrats on the cynicism. Anyways this is also not "just a tiktok"
It's on every social media platform, news outlets are reporting on it, its a big deal especially with The Orange in office who is besties with Netanyahu. Mamdani is also an immigrant to the US, and our own government supports Israel, the right especially and our current government does not like immigrants to begin with. The Orange is insane enough to call something like this Treason even though it isn't.
As a politician he's openly putting a target on his back.

Shane: can't i really need to finish this essay

Forcing myself to do some mending by going out of town to visit family for a few days and packing 3 shirts that have holes in them. The patches are the same fabric as the shirt, it's just faded a lot with washing.
Patched another one.
I've never done it this way before and I hope it holds up well. Last time I tried patching shirts was several years ago, and that time I folded in the edges of the patches and whipstitched them down, which was bad because it left a hard sturdy edge for the weaker fabric to tear along. This time I stuck the patches on flat and did closely spaced rows of running stitch in both directions, which spreads out the reinforcement more evenly and doesn't leave a bulky edge. It seems to be the more usual thing to do with thinning worn out fabrics from what I've seen.
i’m sorry but it is absolutely a conservative impulse to believe that an ancient work has some kind of “purity” that can be “desecrated” by adaptation. think about what you are saying. why do you think adaptational change or reinterpretation is an “offense” to “culture” that must be answered for? what could motivate a person or movement to designate a certain story as “sacred”? when you do this, are you conjuring an idealized past? in the same breath, does this position modernity as a threat?
