The Orphaned Thief

As a young girl, Asari's life was perfect. She had two loving parents and lived in a nice apartment in Republic City. They were a happy family. It was bliss. But bliss is only temporary. At the age of four, on a night walk with her parents, something tragic happened. They were ambushed. Asari's father hid her in a garbage can before turning to defend himself and his wife. Sadly, the men who attacked them were benders and the couple were no match. The two died.. Asari was an orphan. Over the years she protected herself by hiding, finding food in dumpsters, and even receiving a yuan from generous people. But times were hard...until she turned ten. When she was ten, Asari discovered her special talent. Earthbending. It didn't take long for the girl to control her power, to understand it. Without a master, the young orphan taught herself the basic moves and some expert. Now at the age of seventeen, the now master earthbender roams the streets of Republic City as one of the most mischievous thieves. She robs from the rich and the middle class, and she robs alone. Asari hopes to soon join a probending team so she can leave her life of crime behind her. Asari is a distant relative of Asami Sato, hence their striking resemblance. My Possible Airbender OC

Yan-Li was born on the windiest day in the fall, an odd thing for people in her Village- who were mostly born in the spring. The war had been over for almost sixty years, so all was perfect. She grew up like a normal kid, going to school and learning, playing with the other kids. Everything was blissful.

That was, until she discovered her odd skill. 

She could airbemd.

Yan-Li was onlyfive when she discovered her talent of air and was immediately outcast. No one wanted anything to do with her anymore. Not even her family. Everyone thought that she was mentally ill or cursed.

Running from home, she escaped to one of the old Air Temple's where she found groups of people living like airbender. She was accepted by the old mayor Teo and taken in. Yan-Li revealed her talented shortly and it set many of the people on edge but they were also fascinated.

Yan-Li grew with the people of the temple until she was fourteen when she decided to go off and live on her own. She traveled across the Earth Kingdom and explored everything, hiding her special talent from everyone.

It was only when she reached Republic City did the girl find where she truly belonged. With the air acolytes on Air Temple Island. Reaching the temple, she was immediately accepted and her talent praised. She earned the nickname the Lost Airbender.

Katara’s smile once formed from a widened grin to a plain face. “An earthbender… Encountering the South Pole?” She questioned herself, wondering why their kind would be here in the Water Tribe. “Excuse me, but… Why is your presence here?”

Asari froze, gazing at the female in front of her. She had stowed away on a ship from Republic City and it had brought her here...Not exactly where she wanted to travel. Panicking, the girl noticed a large rock near by, something she could bend. Easily the rock was split in two with her hands and manipulated quickly. Building a large square wall around her, the girl sat in the snow and huddled in one of the corners of her make-shift rock house. What was she supposed to say to this woman? 'I stowed away on a ship because I'm wanted.' It wasn't the best start to a relationship.

He looks back at her and he flashes her his rugged but comforting half-smile, motioning to his uniform as the two men stand up. Takahiro's red eyes flicker back to them and he growls "Stand down by order of Commander Takahiro." The two cops, step back.

Slowly, she emerges from the alley and moved over to Takahiro. Once she reached him, Asari sort of half hid behind him with one of her hands on his arm. Clearly she was scared.

Takahiro notices the police sprinting by him after the female, his red eyes narrow and he sighs softly. He couldn't just let her get caught, he instantly breaks into a run and he stops infront of the cops turning around to clothesline them, "I order you both to stand your ground!" He snarls as they hit the ground.

Asari peeked out from the alleyway she had turned down, seeing the male standing up to the cops. "What are you doing!" She yelled. "They'll arrest you!"

HE notices her sudden change of direction when she sees him, he looks behind him and then at her once again, "Hey, are you alright?"He calls.

Asari freezes, taking one glance towards the male. Then she notices police behind the male. Quickly she breaks into a run, knowing that they would be looking for her.

Takahiro is a tall mass walking down the street, dawning a military uniform on his large form. He looks around and he yawns softly, taking a sip from his water bottle, noticing a woman coming down the street.

Asari was messing around with one of the fingerless gloves on her hands when she noticed a male walking towards her. She stopped and stared up at the figure head before turning on her heel, beginning to walk away.
