"You're okay, it was bad dream."

Send me “You’re okay, it was just a bad dream.” for my characters reaction to waking up from a nightmare in your characters arms.

He couldn’t believe it at first, not when his heart believe it so much. Even in his first moments back in the waking world, his body still thrashed as he believed he was still fighting against dream. But it didn’t take long before he realized everything felt too warm, and solid to be a dream.

"Ha-hades…?" It was embarrassing to hear his voice quiver like that in front of the man. Let alone what a sight he must have been, gasping for air, trembling, and with beads of sweat that made his hair and shirt cling to his skin. It felt truly embarrassing to know Hades was holding him like this. "I’m- I’m sorry….I d-didn’t mean to…." Nothing made it stop right away, and he couldn’t think clearly about anything. He only knew that his hand clung to Hades’ shirt tightly, and that it didn’t want to let go anytime soon.

☠ - For some time before Lucas woke up, Hades didn’t know what to do as the young man thrashed in his sleep. At first he thought to leave it alone, but as Lucas became more aggressive, balancing him on his shoulder proved more difficult. It made the god worry that Lucas was going to slip off and harm himself. So holding him gingerly was all he thought to do till Lucas awakened.

”Calm self.” was all he knew to say and with a soft voice.

Lucas could only sigh again as he held onto Hades to give him some support. If he was just unbalanced, that would have been easy enough to fix, but Hades practically looked green and he wasn’t sure if he was going to topple over, or puke, or both.

"When was the last time you ate?" There was still a sense of concern in his voice, but this time there was a touch of annoyance, or was it anger, within it as well. Lucas thought that was only fair, given how little care he really gave himself. "Or did anything other than paint?" Wait, never mind, he might know that answer and if it was that, it was only going to make him more upset. It didn’t take much to decided that they needed a small change of plans.

"Come on, maybe we should get you to the bathroom and something to drink first," it probably won’t hurt. It’ll get him away from his paints, and Lucas can get something in him before they attempt to walk down the street for food. 

☠ - It was difficult to look Lucas in the eye. Becoming more familiar with this language, Hades could tell the young man was cross with him. Not that he didn't have a reason to or anything. 

But Hades felt that he shouldn't be blamed. He's literally never had to worry about a vessel before. Of course this wasn't his first time being on earth, but his past visits required no vessels and were far different than now. For starters, people aren't trying to give him strange offerings such as carved statues or the occasional goat anymore. While he actually preferred to go without such strange customs, it was always flattering nonetheless. Then there's this gods awful language. Germanic at that. How the Greeks or the Romans ever let this happen, he'll possibly never know. Unless he were to open up a history book but what time does he have for that? This was not some 'stroll in the park' visit, this was honest to gods incarceration. Now, if any, he understood why gods loved to play with human beings rather than integrate with them.  He sighed. 

Although he could give whatever excuse he wanted under Apollo's sun and still not justify this miscarriage of responsibility. Even more so because this wasn't his first offense. Then again his last vessel's demise was an honest test. He wanted to see if dying in this world would automatically send him back to his but Zues made it so there were absolutely no loop holes. Thus explaining his new inhabitants in this fellow. Whatever his name was before. 

"Water...is good." he finally decided. If anything it would keep this vessel alive long enough for him to get back to his work.

"I think you need to take a break," and that was putting it mildly, Lucas was afraid he might collapse if he didn't stop. "I can get something to eat if you like, maybe some tea?"

Hades couldn’t quite part the brush with it’s canvas despite his troubling condition. This vessel he wore had grown hungry several days ago and now craved sweet rest from fatigue. Sad to admit but he has lost track of thirst, hunger and rest quite awhile ago. A habit the king had difficulties kicking due to never abiding by such responsibilities before. In fact the affects were beginning to subtly alter his ink washes. A few things about the faces he painted came out slightly disproportionate or unfinished and blotchy. Perhaps that explained the headache he bore from so many spirits nagging at him as of late.He was painting them incorrectly.

With a weak breath, he surpringly apposed saying, “I don’t want anything.”But quite frankly said so without realizing the difference between wanting and needing. He was mistaking wanting to finish the paintings with needing to.

Thank god, or well, gods in the case. Though it would have been nice to known before so he could have used that earlier. Maybe now he can get him something to eat.

Either way, Lucas couldn’t help but smile when he put the brush down. Hades didn’t really have to say anything for him to get that he agreed to get something to eat. 

A small sigh couldn’t help but escape when he saw the hand. But it was more from worry than annoyance. “This all comes from not eating, I hope you know,” Lucas couldn’t help but point out as he helped Hades to his feet, and was sure to keep his hands nearby afterward to be sure he didn’t topple over. Of course, there was the thought that he could maybe bring food to Hades, but then he was not sure whether or not Hades will go back to his paint the first chance he got. If he did that, who knows if he could tempt him away again.

"How do you feel?" The answer was pretty obvious, but he didn’t want the man to be almost toppling over the entire night. 

 A swift realization helped him understand just how how severe the neglect was. Upon being hoisted, the host’s legs held very little stability standing up.  Was this the first time in a few days they moved? To be honest, he wasn't tracking time. At the very least it felt like days.  Then suddenly, as he stood idly over the other’s shoulder, his sensitive equilibrium kicked in. Horrid feelings suddenly rushed over him like the angriest oceans of Poseidon. First dizziness swerved the room in every which way possible, causing a horrible affliction of queasiness to gurgle in his aching, empty stomach. Then this gross feeling pooled in his gut and soon flooded all the way up into his throat. What in Tartarus was even happening to this forsaken vessel? It felt as though all the contents inside were about to spill, only stimulating the flooding sensation even more.

By the gods, why were human bodies so fickle? They sit around for just a few measly days and almost instantly begin to smell worse than a corpse. Go even longer and their insides begin aching worse than any pain imaginable. Then, if one dares to go any further, it becomes weak with exhaustion until finally knocking upon his realm doors. Or in this extraordinary predicament, his shoulder. What was even the point of sustaining something so against it’s own existence, he began to wonder? 

Ah but then again, wasn’t this the mentality that brought him to this horrid standard? ”Bad,” he finally admitted, “absolutely friktós.”

Movement and Posture Headcanons

How Hades talks.

During the uncommon event that The God of Death talks, it’s very deep and filled with booming clarity. This is despite his rather monotone way of speech. Although, all the clarity in world could not quite compensate his thick, thick Greek accent. While it creates a charming and exotic stigma, it’s difficult to integrate with his English. Between this and his monotone, it becomes hard to understand him half the time.Because of this broken English, his words are direct with sentences choppy.Although when it comes to speaking his first language, much of his true mannerisms blossom through his speech and behavior.

                          Surprise shot through Nate as he was dragged                  to the floor. His back hit first, which would’ve hurt just                  a bit if he were an alive, breathing human. Then his                   head, and out of force of habit, he shut his eyes mom-                  entarily. Keeping his arms tucked in, his hands were out,                  prepped to steady Hades after their journey together                                                    to the floor.

By no means did the god even realize what caused their fall but nonetheless reacted with surprising reflexes. With fore arms out to support his impact, his eyes naturally closed shut as he smacked the ground just inches from the other's face. The sides along his fists, arms and elbows hurt momentarily but as that pain swiftly disappated, his eyes opened again. With the other extending their arms out before, their foreheads were prevented from collisioning, thank gods. Although this was due to his pecs being regrettably groped..

"Three but one." was all he said further as he adjusted the straps of his carrying bag. Wether or not what he said was suppose to make sense or is mistaken for poor language skills, the god did no care.  In fact he was a little more concerned about a bed to sleep in tonight.

To get an idea of how much Hades sucks at keeping hosts alive, his last host didn't last more than a month due to dying of thirst, hunger and sleep deprivation. Hades = workaholiiic

Hades’s face. To start off, it is square in shape and defined with bones. Because of it’s rather long and bow shaped jaw, the bridge of his nose is slightly longer to compensate. But his eyes, nose and mouth are all along the same width and length and medium sized. The details of the nose are the slightly heart shaped flare to his nostrils, giving him what some may call a devilish look. His lips are wide with the lower lip thicker than the upper. They both delicately plump where they’re suppose to.Hades’s Eyes.Cosmically deep with etched in wisdom down the lower lids and socket linings. Due to their cosmic trait, they appear exotic but also extremely distant. It’s difficult to tell what it is he’s thinking because of this. To simply put, his irises are deep blue that are almost darker than black. Occasionally they will shimmer under a certain light, but only if he allows you to see them. These traits and attributes are all the same in every host he takes on- no matter what they were before.
