{ Sorry for my lack of activity here! To sum it all up, I got a job, I have finals, and my keyboard broke which isn't exactly the best combination to do replies. Tomorrow's my last day of school, though, and I'm getting a new keyboard soon so hopefully replies will be out before the weekend. }

He gave her a strange look. “What’ve you seen, then?” he asked, a bit of concern touching his voice.

Scrubby Scrubby || Pia & Barrett
Pia stopped in her tracks as she had made her way out of the female bath, a bag of bath towels over her shoulder. She stared at the male for a moment before nodding, “Just give me one moment~!” The girl then rushed off into a back room, throwing the bag inside before making her way back to the counter before looking at the clock, it was time to shut down the bath house. She put up a finger to signal for him to give her another moment, Pia going between the two rooms to explain the bathhouse was closing for the afternoon but would be open again in the morning. The truth being that Pia wanted to begin cleaning them now so it didn’t take all night.
Returning to the counter she dipped her head low to the male and smiled, “Sorry about that, it’s been a super-dee-dooper busy day,” she paused with a giggle, “We have a room open but I can’t promise it’s put together- I’m running everything alone today and we’ve been, well, really busy…” She reached below the counter, grabbing the free key before handing it to the male, “I can go and check on your room after I finish my duty’s down here.” She added, nodding to the baths, “Gotta get scrubbing~!”
Barrett sighed quietly as she took her bag to the back then ran between the two baths again. Surely the baths couldn’t be that busy, could they be? Oh well, so long as he got his room, he was fine.
He heard the words she’d said about the room possibly not being put together, but he shook his head. “You seem like you’re busy enough as is, don’t worry about it,” he said, taking the key. “Unless it won’t take you long to clean those baths,” he amended. He hefted his bag back onto his shoulder and headed upstairs to find his room.

Okay, how in the world did she end up here? Usually, if she fell asleep on the back of a horse, they would bring her home.
Bullseye was clearly just a different kind of horse, far different from Napoleon.
After all, how else could she end up in a place like this?
Gwen directed Bullseye through the woods, dodging any low hanging branches. Finding the path, she used her best instincts to direct him, hopefully to the nearest town. They walked on for hours, Gwen constantly looking around to find someone, anyone. When a furry, unknown creature jumped in their path, Bullseye reared back and took off into a gallop.
She grabbed onto his reins, trying to stay on his back as he galloped to escape what can only be thought of as a giant squirrel. When they were finally a good distance away from it, she pulled on his reins, making him rear back. “Easy! Easy…”
Hearing the others words, she looked over at him, her face set in a glare. She really didn’t need her horse spooked anymore than what he already was. “It’s a horse. Haven’t you ever seen one?” He was dressed so… strangely. She didn’t even know clothes like that existed.
Barrett raised an eyebrow, seeing her try to calm the horse down. He didn't know what could have spooked it, but it probably wasn't good. But that's what I get for investigated a strange noise, he thought bitterly.
"A horse?" he replied, "No, I haven't ever seen one. Where did you tame it?" He took a couple steps closer, wanting to get a closer look at it before looking back at the woman.
"And what are you doing out here? Don't you know it's dangerous," Barrett said.
Scrubby Scrubby || Open
The bathhouse was busy as usual with tourists, the pinkette rushing around between the two sides to insure everything was okay for all customers while also making sure to keep away from the water. The last thing she needed was for her tail to grow with how busy this season had gotten though she wouldn’t have minded it- she never truly minded when her tail reappeared.
Pia had gotten side tracked for half a beat, her mind focusing on if she would have minded her tail appearing. When she came back to it was when another group was walking in, the girl having enough time to welcome them and explain the bathhouse as more groups left. She was out of breath by the time they all went on their way when she stretched up, she couldn’t wait for this day to be over so she could go to the ocean.
Barrett had just arrived in Sharance that morning, and after looking around town for a little, headed to the inn. He wanted to drop his few things off before continuing on with his day. He entered the inn, and came up the front desk. No one was in sight, save for a pink-haired girl rushing between the baths.
“Hey,” he said bluntly, “Are there any rooms available?” Barrett was itching to get back out, maybe go down to the beach he’d easily seen on his way in - the island had caught his eye.
Spring Daze | Leon & Barrett
“I wish I was.” He shared the discomfort of their inconvenient situation, choosing to shrug it off but still very much wanting to just stay inside for a nice bath. He went south immediately, not wanting to prolong his stay under the cruel heat. He wasn’t the most clothed man, but he still felt uncomfortable enough to complain.
“It’s as you say, the heat is something to be wary of. The inn isn’t an option and I for one think anywhere else wouldn’t be as rewarding as a trip to Dragon Lake.” He reveals a silver pole that was retracted into a smaller size. Giving it a good shake, it soon turned to the full length fishing pole aka Leon’s parter in business. “I’m going fishing. You’re free to join if you’d like.”
He looks back at him and smirks, “Unless you enjoy the heat? In that case, have fun.”
Fishing wasn’t exactly his favorite pastime, but a trip to the lake would be better than just standing around feeling miserable for himself. He didn’t have a fishing pole of his own, but he didn’t think that’d be an issue - it’s not like he was actually going to be fishing.
Barrett glowered at Leon as he walked beside him. “Does it look like I enjoy the heat?” Given that his outfit mostly consisted of thicker cloth and covered his entire body, it was a wonder that he wasn’t melting. He envied Leon for his shirtless-ness, but knew that taking his own off would not be a good idea.
Still, he removed his coat, draping it across his arm. It helped with the heat, but not by much.
{ Barrett’s theme is probably going to look really messy for a couple days - I’ve decided to make a completely new theme for him, and in doing so, it’s gonna take a little bit to get it to look nice. Sorry if there’s any inconvenience due to this! }

“Oh, it is! It’s a bit troublesome, though… It won’t work between here and the Forest of Beginnings, and if it’s a place you’re unsure of….” She sighed heavily, shaking her head. “I’ve landed in many trees. Many of them.”
He frowned again. “If it’s a place you’re unsure of, then it doesn’t seem very useful.” At her next her words, he let out a small laugh. “The trees can’t be very fond of you, then.”
He was a stranger to all the world, but he was not lonely.

Spring Daze | Leon & Barrett
“It seems there was a little accident in the kitchen, yes?”
Leon sat at the staircase beside the baths in disbelief, fanning himself profusely. Just moments ago, a small explosion woke him. When he rushed towards he culprit, it was Xiao Pai on fire. It didn’t take long for things to be handled at once, but it left the inn smelling like a burned wood (probably because there was burned wood). He opted to bathe but as fate decided, that too was out of order.
It was hot inside, and as summer crept closer, it was bound to be the same outside too. With little to no options, he headed outside, aiming for a small trip to Dragon Lake.
He paused briefly when the familiar tourist met him face to face, finding himself shrugging at his words. “If you’re going inside, cover your nose and ignore the smoke. Oh, and bath’s out of order. Good luck~”
He slipped to the side, about to head to his destination. But before he did, he decided to be gracious and share his little plan of escape, “…you’re fond of fish, am I right?”
Barrett stared at him in disbelief before groaning. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” he muttered, turning to walk right back outside - he’d take stifling heat over a burnt smell any day. Though he did have to wonder how exactly something had gotten burnt in the first place.
He raised an eyebrow as he followed Leon onto the street. “Yes, I like fish - why do you ask?”
The heat seemed even worse now that he’d felt the somewhat cooler interior of the inn, but he’d rather not be coughing from inhaling too much smoke.

Barrett stepped out of the inn, breathing in deeply. The scents of spring hit him - flowers and rain - before he sneezed. He wrinkled his nose, regretting the inhale. While his allergies might not be enough to cause anything other than annoyance, it was enough to stop him from truly enjoying the season.
Still, it wasn’t going to deter him from investigating a strange noise he could hear in the distance. Walking down the path, he could tell it was getting louder, until he eventually came across a blonde woman and some kind of monster.
He raised an eyebrow, not familiar with what kind it was, and approached the woman. “What is that?” he asked the stranger, indicating the horse.
Spring Daze | Leon & Barrett
It wasn’t quite summer yet, spring still spread across Norad, but that didn’t deter the temperature from skyrocketing some days. This was one of those days. As it was, in his clothes, Barrett was hot. He heaved a sigh, mentally cursing himself for not bringing cooler clothes on his latest excursion to Selphia.
But, unless he wanted to remove something, that wasn’t possible. He’d just have to be more prepared next time.
He entered the inn, tugging his clothes away from his body as if that would offer some sort of relief and hoping to escape at least the sun, if not the heat entirely…and found himself face to face with Leon. “Leon, if you’re going out, be wary of the heat,” Barrett said without preamble.
A Little Help - Barrett/Clorica

With that, Clorica ventured outside of the castle for the day, having quite a few tasks to take care of. In her arms she carried a large box, meant to be delivered to Arthur at Porcoline’s restaurant. Though Frey and Vishnal had both offered to help her with the chore, she insisted on doing it alone, wanting to show that she was a fully capable butler.
As she walked in the direction of her destination, Clorica quickly found herself growing tired, nearly toppling over a few times. However she managed to keep going, happily greeting all those who walked by.
Soon she walked by Barrett, smiling brightly at him as she passed. “Good day, Barrett. I trust you’re doing well ♪?

Barrett had originally come to Selphia with the intent of translating the earthscript he’d heard was in the Water Ruins. He’d done as much as he could on that visit, though, and planned to leave soon. But he knew what the airship would bring, and so did his best to avoid it. What better way than to go to Porcoline’s and enjoy a dish of his favorite meal?
On his way, however, Clorica passed by, cheerfully greeting him - though he could easily tell she was tired (one of the many side affects of being a teacher).
He raised an eyebrow before catching up with her. “Hey. Do you need any help with that?”
