Magnus the Traitor

Had a moment of inspiration looking at the Cygnar flag I had left from my Stormclad. Magnus is a cool character and he deserves a cool base!

Trencher Master Gunner and Grenadier.

These guys turned out pretty gritty. I like the feel of being Dug In to the terrain that the bases evoke, and they look good together, which is good since they are a potent combo.

I made the discovery that my brand new eKromac had a tiny piece of green stuff embedded into the plastic. This must mean a fragment of the original sculpt is embedded in my eKromac and therefore it is the most powerful!!

Had a rather productive day! Lord Carver and his battlegroup for a 15 point Mangled Metal tourney. I wanted to have Carver sitting in his throne like he is in the Minions book artwork. I think it turned out pretty well, though for such a a simple thing it was remarkably complicated to get him to sit properly...

Dynamo! The most advanced Warjack in Cygnar’s arsenal, this guy has consistently perfomed amazingly for me. Whether melting faces with the electro-gun or stabbing things with the piston spear, Dynamo has proven he can get the job done, only falling once in his many games. Enjoy your paint job buddy!

My friend made me this awesome Cygnar display stand. He made the fence one slat at a time and laid each cardstock stone. He even snuck some dirty Khadoran propaganda on the back!

Our Blog has been a bit empty lately so here's some Rangers! I actually did these guys a few weeks ago but never posted them. Hopefully this inspires us all to paint those backlog projects in 2015!

Rangers are funny, since one of them usually gets the short straw of running into the open to mark targets for the army...

Been a while since my Mercs got some love. Here is Steelhead Mercenary Warcaster Captain Amador Damiano and his ancestral Warjack guardian, Rocinante. He owns a share of the Steelhead Mercenary Company, so when he promises a pay raise, you can believe it!

Rocinante has some extra bits added, and he's holding his sword backward. Makes him look l like an old man using a cane, and I'm okay with that (it kinda fits his battlefield role also).

mumble stripping mumble mumble: Tried using acetone. Its a little time consuming, but it does the job. The largest sections pull away easily. I just dunked them in for a few hours scraped and peeled, dunk, scrape repeat. Apparently chemical degreasers like simple green work better. I’ll try that next time. I stripped a wrastler , posse and spitter first. Now I’m stripping my maelok duplicate and the totem hunter. Sorry Tom, had to do it my way.

Someone at my local club said Rorsh and Brine were no good… Challenge accepted! Rorsh has a huge assortment of bobbles and bits, detritus of his mercenary lifestyle. Made him quite fun to paint, his buddy Brine is still in progress…
