I took some time out to visit the local town and enjoy the sun (and a slushie ❄). I love the umbrella installation at Place du Martray, so colourful and it's nice to watch them move in the breeze. Now versus before. A 1950's house, abandoned since the mid-90's and threatened with demolition. I've spent the last year transforming it and it's better than new. A great opportunity to work on a bigger "canvas". A happy new tenant is moving in soon. I can add well restoration to my list of skills. The well on a property I have been developing had seen better days. The house dates from the 50's but the well is a lot older. The ironwork was solid but rusty, hidden under many layers of paint. The original wood roller had rotted away. Now the metalwork has been cleaned up ready to paint, but best of all is a new turned oak roller made by an artisan in Mur de Bretagne, a thing of beauty almost too nice to put outside.
