How can I fix this problem? Ever since the update my game has been completely unplayable.

When opting to have my sims doing anything like taking care of needs etc they don’t move taken out mods.

I am so happy that people who can convert Sims 4 CC to Sims 3 and Sims 2 exist, since personally I just couldn't get into Sims 4 at all, and I'm sure many other simmers are the same.

If you're a 4t3 and/or 4t2 CC converter reading this, I'm very appreciative of your hard work, and I'm sure a lot of other fellow simmers appreciate your work all as well.
