DEVOTED:
@eatingdemons
Ā Ā Ā Solomon had been out all damn day, and he was real sick and tired of looking for a goddamn decentĀ kazoo. But heād finally found one, and he was so proud of himself that he just had to show Rune immediately.
   However, when he got back to his lair, the fallen angel was⦠asleep.
Ā Ā Ā Solomon crossed the room to stand beneath the chandelier. God damn, he thought to himself, why do you have to sleep in such hard to reach places?
Ā Ā Ā He figured that maybe, if he played the kazoo heād found loudly and obnoxiously enough, Rune would wake up. So, he blew into it as hard as he could, over and over, in the most annoying key possible, and although it was driving him insane⦠it had to be done.
Ā Ā Ā Rune was tired of rummaging through Solomonās things. They were all interesting, but without him here to explain them, they were nothing more than mysteries to Rune. Yawning, the fallen angel fiddled with the kazoo around their neck. Sleeping was something they had never needed to do before, but now it seemed like a great idea, especially with the highest perch in Solomonās lair unoccupied, the chandelier.
Ā Ā Ā If they werenāt so tired, they would have thought it weird they were tired at all.
Ā Ā Ā After hopping up onto the chandelier and folding their wings around them to block out the light, Rune fell asleep, but not for long. Before they knew it Solomon was back and screeching something unintelligible. They cracked their eyes open and then peeked out of the space between their wings, looking down at Solomon. Their expression instantly brightened when they realized it wasnāt him who was screeching, but rather the kazoo in his hands.
Ā Ā Ā āIs that for me?ā Rune fluttered down from the chandelier, their eyes wide, their face pressed close to the kazoo.Ā āOh, itās so pretty! Where did you find it? I thought you were out hunting, not-- you mustāve gotten very lucky, to find such a beautiful thing...ā
Ā Ā Ā Rune smooshed their face against Solomonās cheek. āThank you!ā
