The same smile…
Things are getting exciting with Adventures of Mana. I came across an old manor, and my companion Fuji disappeared! A mysterious Red Mage helped me along, and we defeated a Hydra together to retrieve a Magic Mirror. We parted ways, and I used the Magic Mirror to find Fuji and fight this crazy vampire boss.
Fuji and I made our way to the next town, where we met a great sage and… some bad stuff happens… and I run into the big bad guy, Julius.
Things aren’t looking too good from here!
Started playing Adventures of Mana on Tuesday! Never played this on the Game Boy, so this experience is brand new for me. Just entering the Marshes for the first time, so I have a ways to go!
With little money and no programming expertise, Yoshihisa Kurosawa of Japan set out to make the worst game possible; he is mystified players have taken it so seriously that, 23 years on, they bombard his Facebook page with questions
The creator of a famous bad bootleg Super Nintendo game, Hong Kong 97, gave his first interview and says he wants people to please leave him alone about it.
“Every day I get questions on Facebook from all around the world, from people I’ve never heard of, asking things like, ‘Who does the corpse [at the end of the game] belong to?’ People have started to read too much into the game, and they have made up their own new mysteries surrounding it. The entire setting and context was just stuff I made up as I went along. The questions are endless, so I just ignore them all.”

Breath of the Wild: Still slowly grinding the remaining Shrines on my list. Found out that I’ve played this game over 95 hours since release day. I’m loving the game, but excited to move onto something else…

Lots of cleaning around the house today.
Doki Doki Literature Club(!): Eeesh. Clicked through to the first big reveal. Once I realized that you have to have multiple playthroughs to see the whole story, I said, “screw this” and deleted the entire game. All of the incessant clicking was a major turn-off. (I actually liked much of the poetry though!)

Not too much time for gaming today.
Pokémon Yellow: Cleared out Routes 9 and 10, just about to head into the Rock Cavern.
(Wait… did I miss a Machop in the grass over there?!)

Pokémon Yellow: Grinding my mons along Route 9 heading to Rock Tunnel. Didn’t play too much tonight because I was distracted by…
Doki Doki Literature Club(?!): I heard about this game from a Kotaku article earlier this week. Unfortunately I know there’s a big twist coming, but I haven’t got that far yet. I’ve never played a Moe visual novel-type game before—not really my style—but something about Yuri is intriguing…

Breath of the Wild: I’m further along in the game than I thought. 109 Shrines found, so 11 to go. Not sure if I should buy the DLC before completing all Shrines and beating Calamity Ganon, or afterward. Will I miss a lot by waiting to buy the DLC?

Work was stressful and definitely not pleasant. Wife came home with a burst blood vessel in her eye. Not a fun evening either.
Pokémon Yellow: Almost forgot to pick up Squirtle from Officer Jenny. Up to 31 Pokémon held so far. Working my way through the tunnels to Lavender Town next.

First day back at work. Slow going, but not stressful.
Breath of the Wild: Slowly slogging through the last twenty Shrines I haven’t found. I suppose I could fight Calamity Ganon in Hyrule Castle and complete the game already, but I’m still having too much fun clearing Shrines at the moment.
