With hazy vision, though,      she gazed into those eyes she knew well, and sat back to      accept the genuine care he wished to offer.

      Already, even his softest motions were ravaging her body       with pain, scrambling her thoughts and allowing her to      reach for his free hand and squeeze it as hard as she could.
