I want to work in a bar .. But I guess the liquor store will do
Yup, was planning on having a beer and hot chocolate with a shot before going into work today, if I can manage to get myself out of bed
I can't wait to not have roommates again, I mean.. My roommates are decent, but still
The Astronomical Machines of the Desert
Deep in the Atacama desert of northern Chile, where there is little life, metal machines gaze endlessly into the universe. These great machines work together seamlessly to give humanity a better understanding of the cosmos. The Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (known as ALMA) is an astronomical interferometer of radio telescopes in the Atacama desert of northern Chile.
These telescopes are not the kind that you can easily look into, they are radio telescopes. This means that they are able to see light past the visible spectrum and probe into a rare part of space that we could not usually see.
But why, you may ask, are we placing radio telescopes on earth? One reason is that they are not effected by our atmosphere. These specialized telescopes allow for the observation of energetic objects such as pulsars and quasars.
After the telescopes gather data, it must be stored. This is done with a super computer known as the ALMA correlator, one of the most powerful supercomputers in the world. The full system has four identical quadrants, with over 134 million processors, performing up to 17 quadrillion operations per second.
All of this advanced technology allows ALMA to produce images such as these:

Where Could Life Exist?
When NASA scientists announced earlier this year that they had found evidence of liquid water on Mars, imaginations ran wild with the possibility that life could exist somewhere other than here on Earth.
Scientists continue to explore the possibility that Mars once looked a lot like Earth — salty oceans, fresh water lakes, and a water cycle to go with it. That’s exciting stuff.
So where else are they looking? What exactly are they looking for?
There are nine places in our universe where scientists say life is a possibility. The locations range from a smoking hot planet like Venus to a moon that orbits Saturn called Enceladus, which looks a lot like a massive, tightly-packed ball of ice.
All of these places show signs that water is, or at least was, a possibility. They also appear to feature some kind of energy that could produce heat.

Take time to give thanks, make time to be given
So.. I don't do nice things for people because I think nice things will happen to me in return, in fact, I usually have really pure intentions.. But what goes around comes around, man I gave a coworker this old t-nail I had (a really nice one, probably around $50) and just told him to enjoy it, I had no use for it anymore Then a day later my roommates gifted me a really nice pair of snowboarding pants like probably $120+ kind of thing.. I made out all kinds of Christmas cards with Grateful Dead and mushroom stickers and handwritten cards because I'm homesick and miss everyone, then jokingly posted that someone should send me my favorite beer from Ohio and an old server I used to work with (who was never even one of my best friends there or anything) asks for my address sends me a tracking number and says that I was always awesome to work with, and my dad messages me that his girlfriend threw a few extra $20's into my Christmas card while she was at the post office so I should keep an eye on the mail... I may have to be alone for the holidays but I am feeling the love from the most unexpected places So grateful <3
Dark chocolate hot cocoa w/ two melted pieces of peppermint bark chocolate and a shot of Kahlua.. Yes, its my first day at a new job and I'm spending the last 10 days of December alone.

I just want to drink myself into oblivion but I know it's not the answer, especially considering I have three job interviews in the morning
Why Matthew Gray Gubler Lives in a Haunted Tree House
This is too funny not to be accessible to hard of hearing and d/Deaf people, so I did my best to write a transcript. So no one has to whine, it’s under the cut. @captioned-vines

Why is he perfect
What it might have been, it isn't. Cause it is, what it is and what it is will have to do.
Don't show up for work, air out all of my grievances about the job including the dude who's attitude is out of control and how other managers steal.. The next morning get a text message saying "if we pay you more will you stay on board?" Hahaha. Oh, feels good to finally stand up for myself.
